I am a trained linguist with 8+ years of language tutoring. With a degree in linguistics, specializing in Second Language Acquisition, I use up-to-date research on the most efficient way to learn a language. Native Swedish speaker with a standard Stockholm accent. I have taught Swedish for a couple of years to students of various backgrounds, from teenagers learning Swedish at school to professionals moving to Sweden for work. I can help you practise conversation on both everyday and specialized topics, as well as reading, writing and grammar. If you want to prepare for the national language exam TISUS I have experience doing this as well. I love talking and listening to people, I’m really good at grammar and I have a huge vocabulary.

Most of my lessons are based on conversation, that is, we talk to each other and every now and then we take a little break to focus on some particular item of grammar or vocabulary which appears in the conversation. The conversation can be really simple or very complex, but it’s almost always fun! I take notes during the lesson and during subsequent lessons we use these notes to rehearse and develop particular themes. 

It’s also fun to discuss peculiarities of Swedish culture, I have lived in several countries and will recognize and help you discover some strange aspects of living in Sweden. And if you are moving there and need help with some practicalities I am happy to do this as well. 

As far as formal experience goes, I have university degrees in Classics, Philosophy and Mathematics and have worked as a qualified high school teacher in Sweden.

My name is Eva and I’ve been teaching Swedish for three years on-line and I have gathered a lot of understanding about the different needs from teaching Swedish to a teenager or to a PhD student. 

I'm here to help you learn Swedish in a fun and stimulating way and I believe that having a good and open communication with each one of my students is the most important thing.

 I am also fluent in English, Hebrew and Spanish.

I’ve been learning how to speak a language in different ways (traditional- in school and natural-like a child) and the natural way is by far the most stimulating and motivating way.

My name is Stina and I am excited to be your new Swedish teacher! Teaching is truly my passion and I love connecting with people from all over the world and would love to help you improve your language and communication skills in Swedish.  I have worked as a language teacher my whole adult life, both online and in high school settings, in Sweden as well as abroad.

I have a Masters degree in Italian linguistics from the University of Stockholm, and speak several languages fluently. I focus mainly on intermediate and advanced students, and at this level we work mainly with oral and written communication proficiency, through discussions and exercises tailored to your specific situation and needs. Some people find grammar boring, but trust me, it doesn't have to be!  Knowledge of grammar will deepen your understanding of the structure of the language and perfect your spoken and written Swedish.
