my name is Florentin, I've been teaching German for the last 10 years, working both with groups and 1-on-1.

Maybe the most important aspect for me is the atmosphere in which you can be at ease and speak freely without any fear of making mistakes. Mistakes are not only a part of the process, but have to be made and will help your understanding. Our class is a safe space where you can express yourself exactly as you do now and ask all the questions you may have.

In a session we might converse while refining your German language skills, go over your texts together, rehearse an exam and get you ready for a German language certificate test or job interview, take a clarifying look into any specific topic you feel confused about etc. 

All these activities, that can be fun, can also help us see what is needed for you to advance.

We can use my materials and you are also welcome to bring whatever you would like to work with.

More about me:
I initially started teaching German after a one-year journey through South America which I undertook after graduating from university. During these travels I learned Spanish and subsequently got the task of offering tuition to students at university who were struggling with reading academic texts in German. Thereafter I started teaching all German levels to different groups at university and also to students individually and have been doing so for over 10 years now, in-person and online. I've also been leading translation groups and lecturing on other language topics like language philosophy. 
Living and teaching German in other countries for several years gave me deeper insight both into learning languages and into my own mother tongue and during that time I naturally adopted the role of a bridge between cultures and languages. 

I speak English and Spanish fluently and one of these languages could serve as additional support for our work together in case we share it :)

I specialize in the exam preparation for the Goethe Zertifikat or equivalent and have considerable experience with professionals, embassy staff and medical students. Hi, I'm Your new German teacher. Born and raised in Switzerland but now living in Peru. I'm an artist, graphic designer and much more. I speak fluent English, Spanish and good French. I love to teach online because it allows me both to get to know new people from all over the world but also to take good care of my family. I always try to improve my teaching methods and to help my students find the best materials for them to keep studying for themselves. Hi! I am Larissa, I am originally from Frankfurt, Germany. Right now, I am living in Baja California, Mexico. Since 2019, I've been teaching German as a foreign language via video chat and in face-to-face sessions. My students come from all over the world, from various age groups and have different skill levels. Depending on your skill level and requirements, we might start at the very beginning, dig into some grammar, do listening, reading and/or conversational exercises. I can also help you with different exam preparations or getting you ready to travel/move to a German speaking country. I like to work with free online sources, but am also happy to work with any material that my students bring to class. It is important to me to create a friendly and judge free atmosphere for my students where they feel comfortable just speaking and asking questions.

Hi, my name is Sina and I am a native German speaker who is passionate about talking and teaching this language with people from different cultures all over the world! I am currently based in Kampala, Uganda, working in the creative arts sector as projects manager.

My experiences teaching German language go back to 2015, during my master studies, when I gave intense lessons to refugees helping them to reach basic vocabulary and grammar for everyday conversations using self-compiled material.

When moving to Uganda in 2019, I gave regular tutoring classes to German students' level A1, A2 and B1 at Goethe-Zentrum Kampala for six months.  I got insights into the language structures of the Goethe Insitut-system including exam preparation collecting professional teaching material.

To get students engaged with German language I usually work with interactive methods. We start with a comprehensive introduction to the respective topic through work sheets, powerpoint or visuals. Then we apply what has been learned through playful games, conversation exercises or gap texts. My methodology is: First process, then apply! Teaching one-to-one means I am all there for you, you decide which topic you want to work on, which challenges you want to master and how often we should repeat a lesson.

Would you like to learn German with personalized lessons according to your needs and interests? Then I'm the right teacher for you!  In my German lessons you will not only learn the correct pronunciation and grammar but also a lot of useful facts and details about the German culture and way of living. This will help you if you are already living in a German-speaking country or plan to move there. I can also help you with exam preparation, such as Goethe-Test, Telc, or TestDaF.

In our German lessons you will find a safe space to practice speaking, make mistakes, get feedback, and little by little get more confident. Together we will create a tailored program designed to practice the specific situations where you will need to use German. We will use role plays, audios, videos, and a lot of different materials in order to improve your speaking, reading, writing, and listening skills. Every student has a different learning pace and different needs and interests. In the trial lesson I will find out what your goals are and with that information I will be able to adapt my German lessons so that you will learn German and enjoy doing it! 

Since I have a Zoom Business account, you won't need to reconnect to the meeting during our  lessons (55 minutes).

Some facts about me: I was born in Spain and raised in Germany, so Spanish and German are my native languages, but I also speak English (C1 level), French (B2 level), and a little bit of Portuguese. Over the last 30 years I have taught languages (English, German, and Spanish) to children and adults of all ages and levels. I've helped several students to pass different language exams.
