I am a German and English native speaker and have been a teacher for 25 years. I specialize in the exam preparation for the Goethe Zertifikat or equivalent and have considerable experience with professionals, embassy staff and medical students. My method is simple: I make it real, I make it relevant and most of all, I make it fun! 

We can discuss travel, politics, the cities we live in, art, culture, the news, your job, your dreams and goals - anything :) I will adjust to your level (B1 and up) so that you don't feel overwhelmed. Language learning should be fun! 

Corrections and suggestions will be provided in the chat box. (this is not a grammar class though so explanations will be kept brief to focus on the conversation and improving fluency.

Given my background as a Communications Director at a global company I'm also happy to include business topics if that's of interest to you. 

My classes are NOT for beginners. As it is a conversation class, you must be able to hold at least a basic conversation (A2 level or higher)

I am a native German instructor as well as a certified coach for communication and emotional management. Since 2018 I have been helping people around the world to learn German in an easy and fun way. I started my work at a French High School. My main task there was to prepare the advanced learners for their oral exams. Later I continued at a French Engineering University teaching the students to apply their German skills to specific topics linked to their studies and future jobs. I also helped them in the preparations of their year abroad in a German speaking country. After this experience I switched to instructing beginners at a French Middle School and started my work online with beginners as well as advanced learners. 

My offer includes lots of exercises that will enable you to express yourself spontaneously and quickly break the barrier to speak. In addition to the sessions with me you will get tasks that you can easily complete and repeat throughout your everyday life. Together we will create a stimulating learning environment that makes it easy for you to pick up new vocabulary and grammar structures without having to know all the different rules that a native speaker does not even know ;) 

Instead of rushing through chapters and passing a final exam I offer a slower learning pace. By doing so you will enjoy each little step in your language acquisition and stay curious and motivated for what is to come.

My name is Sandra and I am a qualified teacher with a Masters of Education in German and English as a Second Language,  Physical Education , Religion and Art with 8 years of experience in teaching at various schools in Germany , Australia, Asia, Canada. My teaching style is very interactive and I try to adjust it to everyone's needs. Every student is different and learns differently. My goal is to equip my students with tools and also to inspire them with my enthusiasm for the German language & culture. My teaching method is to focus on the 4 skills : listening , speaking, reading and writing . Those 4 skills will be covered in every lesson except the student is requesting to focus only on the conversational part etc. I'm flexible and can accomodate to every students needs. I am a patient and dedicated German tutor (check my reviews :) ) and I have worked with adults and children of all ages and German levels, so I have teaching material for every level and for exam preparation. The structure of the lesson also depends on the way of learning that works best for you. That´s what we are going to discuss in the trial lesson. You will also get an idea about how our lessons will be. And as I get to know more about your interests and hobbies, I can prepare lessons with topics that are interesting and practical for you. 

We will practice reading, listening, writing and speaking. Therefore, we will use videos, worksheets, online exercises, dialogues or role-plays. We will practice everyday German and the vocabulary that you personally need. I will also guide you patiently through the grammar topics. If you want, I will give you homework after the lesson.
