Bonjour! 

With a Master's in French as a Foreign Language (FLE), I am deeply passionate about language learning and teaching my native tongue—French!

I am well-versed in the DELF A1-B2 exams and offer lessons focused on pronunciation, vocabulary, and grammar for casual learners. I have taught French online and in person to learners of all ages. I tailor my lessons to each student's level and goals. My priority is to help you gain confidence and make tangible progress in French.

For the trial lesson

• I will first share a Google Docs document with you. This will allow you to access lesson plans in advance and add your own notes throughout our sessions.
• In the first few minutes, I’ll ask you to introduce yourself and share your expectations for our lessons.
• We will start with simple exercises to assess your comfort level with grammar, reading, listening, and speaking.

If your main focus is speaking, we will engage in various speaking exercises to help you gain confidence in the language. If you're preparing for the DELF exams or any school/university assessments, we will target the areas you feel need the most improvement. And if you're here to learn French in a fun and relaxed way, we can explore any themes or topics that interest you.

 I come from Nancy in the north-east of France. I lived one year in Spain and  I am living now in Dublin. 

 I studied Performing Art and film studies in France, Spain and in Ireland. I am passionate about travelling, discovering new cultures and art. I completed a diploma to teach French to foreigners (DAEFLE- Alliance Française de Paris) in 2023. I am also an examiner and corrector for the DELF-DALF exam.

I started teaching French part-time 6 years ago when I moved to Dublin. I used to help Irish teenagers to prepare their French exams (Leaving Cert - Junior Cert) and students at the University (preparing oral exams, proof-reading essays).  I have been teaching French online since April 2020 and in person to adults and kids in some languages school since February 2021. 

I teach French to all levels (beginners to advanced) and all ages (kids, teenagers, adults). I can help you to improve your French skills (grammar, vocabulary, French culture, oral fluency) , to prepare your essays, oral presentation, job interview, Delf-Dalf exams  … With  children I usually use a power point to learn basics vocabulary and sentences, and make French games with them. 

I am flexible to your needs, level and way of learning. I use videos and articles based on your interests and encourage practising conversation. I also often relate the lessons to French culture as film, music, news , literature ... I can provide grammar lessons and exercises.

Here is an exemple of a methodology, that is adapted for each level and each student;

We study a grammar rule, and a vocabulary theme.

Then we do exercices to practice.

After this, we have an oral conversation and you have the opportunity to use the grammar rules and the vocabulary studied.

In the beginning of each lesson, we review words studied previously.

Besides, I can send homework, if you want to progress faster.

About Me

I hold degrees in French Literature, Philosophy, and History from Université Paris 10, along with a Master of Science in Global Change Management from HNE Eberswalde.

Before settling in São Paulo, Brazil, I lived and worked in Berlin for five years, where I began teaching languages through private tutoring and literacy classes for young refugees. In 2017, I completed a French language teaching certification and went on to teach at the Technical University of Berlin for three semesters.

Today, I work with a range of language schools in São Paulo, including IFESP, Versátil Idiomas, and the Alliance Française. I have experience teaching students of all ages and levels, and I regularly design personalized learning materials to meet their goals.

Alongside teaching, I work as a translator, with professional experience translating from English, German, and Portuguese into French.

Hi, I'm Sabrina, I was born in Bayonne but my studies in French Literature and French as a Foreign Language led me to live and work in different places and countries, to many students of all ages and levels ! 

That's why I would be delighted to teach my French language, whether you need it for your work, your studies, to pass your DELF/DALF examens, to brush up your grammar or to master the "art de la conversation". I always tailor my lesson, based on your level, your goals and your interests. 

As a creative person, I try to use that part of my personality to make our lesson fun yet efficient, in a relaxed atmosphere where you feel confident to speak and explore French. This is the time where you have the ability to speak French as much as possible.

I’m always in search for new material (articles, songs, podcasts, games…) to work on, trying as much as possible to use authentic material and any tools (Google Docs, screenshare, slides…) that seem adequate to learn the language French people actually speak. 

I've got loads of texbooks as well, where I like to extract interesting texts or drills to make you practise when it seems relevant to do so. 

What's important to me is that each online lesson is a place and time where you can feel confident to speak in French, in a relaxed atmosphere where you can explore our beautiful language and culture. 

I am a very easy-going, passionate and good-natured person, keen in many different subjects and aspects of our life. When I'm not teaching, I like reading, watching movies, writing, walking, traveling, practising yoga, doing theater and struggling on my guitar ! (To only name a few)

Starters : I use a particular book that helps you to work on all the aspects of the language at the same time (phonetics, grammar, vocabulary, reading) and helps structuring the courses

Advanced : I practice conversation with you about more or less complex subjects to increase your vocabulary and to correct the remaining imperfections

Of course, I always adapt my method to your individual situation

About me : I was born in Switzerland. My mother tongue is French, which I always speak with my relatives and my friends. I also speak Italian as I grew up in the Italian-speaking region of Switzerland (Ticino) and I still live there

I also speak English, a bit of Serbian and Russian

Hello Everyone, 

Languages are a passion of mine, I am currently working on language 5 and 6. Because I've been learning other languages  I am very familiar with the difficulties my students can have and which methods are efficient. 

My first objective is for my student to develop the skills to speak and understand French so that they can be independant consulting French content at home. My classes are very relaxed and I try to have a good time while I teach. My classes are tailored to each student's level. 

• For beginners: we work on the elements of the sentence, conjugating verbs, prononciation exercises, we read basic text and we start writing and speaking in French. we also introduce the idea of daily practice.
• For intermediates we work on more advanced grammatical concepts and conjugating with more tenses, we work with audio and written format (about 50/50 technique and practice)
• For advanced students we usually do more conversation based exercises, prior to the class I'll send a podcast, documentary, youtube video, movie extracts and more and the student have to express their thoughts, their critic or commentary on the topic, on my hand I will ask questions to keep the conversation going. We can also do interview prep, review of essays written in French etc.

 I also do give a little bit of homework.

I am a certified examiner for DELF A1-A2-B1.I have been teaching french for 14 years.Be it general or business french, my students quickly become comfortable and confident with the language, I have also trained many multinational companies all over the world . I use the learner-centered methods, the input of the sessions are a blend of practice and theory of the language. I use practical activities based on Communicative Language Teaching (CLT),  methodology, throughout the course, I encourage my students to use their own daily situations in class and express them in french like in real life in role plays. I’ve been a professional French teacher since 2007. I taught French in various language schools, for big companies and at university. Since 2020, I’ve been teaching exclusively online. These experiences have allowed me to be in contact with different types of students, from children to adults, from beginner to proficiency, for leisure or business purposes or to prepare for the official French certifications (I’m also a DELF examiner). Therefore, I’m used to adapt to the needs and learning objectives of my students. This means that I can choose the right teaching material so that we can practice and progress according to your own goals and interests.
