Hi everyone, I am Anna and I am a professional Italian teacher for foreigners. I come from Venice where I live and work. I can help you in the study of modern Italian as it is really spoken nowadays. I am a bilingual Italian and English teacher and a freelance translator at Ca' Foscari University in Venice. I completed the ITALS Master's degree for teaching Italian language and culture to foreigners. My field of specialization and current research is Psycholinguistics and Neurolinguistics to better understand what happens in our brains and minds when we study a foreign language and what emotions are involved. I specialize in teaching adults and seniors and am currently studying in a Psychology course at Yale University. I also have a CEDILS certification to teach Italian culture abroad. I have been teaching Italian and English since 2004. I work with students from diverse backgrounds and my classes are for anyone who wants to improve and deepen communication, grammar, vocabulary and reading.

I always pay attention to your needs no matter what your level is. We will work on your confidence because we are all students and I know how difficult it is when you can't find the words to express what you are thinking and feeling. My lessons are all customizable because I think every student is different and has their own personal way of learning. I will be so happy to work with you and help you reach your goals.

When I am not teaching, I travel. I lived in London for a while and also in Liverpool while I was writing my dissertation. I also speak Spanish, so I am also a language student and understand very well how difficult it is to study a language.

We can have conversations about anything you are passionate about. We can analyse an article, describe movies and TV Shows you like, write and expose stories to strengthen your grammar, understand songs, videos and podcasts. My lessons will vary from conversation, listening, grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation. When you will be ready, we can explore common expressions and colloquial Italian!

If you're just starting and you don't know many Italian words, don't worry! In the beginning, we can speak English. Later, we are going to speak only in Italian!

My name is Margherita, I am from Milan, I am living in Tenerife now and I have been an Italian teacher for 7 years.

I personally speak fluently both Spanish and English as I have worked and lived in Ireland, Australia and Bolivia, before moving to the Canarian Islands.

I graduated in Linguistic and Cultural Mediation in Milan in 2013 and afterwards I achieved the Master Itals aimed at teaching the Italian language and culture to foreigners.

I have taught Italian for four years in La Paz, Bolivia by the SOCIETà DANTE ALIGHIERI, giving classes to adults and university students, while I have taught to kids and adolescents by the Colegio Italo-Boliviano of the same city.

I returned to Italy in 2019 and I was given the opportunity to teach Italian through the Berlitz school by the Leonardo Elicotteri Company, addressing to English managers and engineers.

As regards my teaching method, the student is the centre of the learning process.

Therefore I customize my lessons considering your interests and the topics you want to talk about using different materials like videos, songs, online activities, along with written texts.

This way lessons are based especially on CONVERSATION as I think that each language's goal is to communicate.

My name is Gaja, I am a native Italian speaker and a DITALS certified teacher, I live in Piedmont, I have a degree in History of Art, I have been a freelancer since 2011. In addition to teaching, I work in the tourism and cultural fields.

I am Italian but I did my university in Scotland where I studied BA Economics. I love teaching in general and I love the contact with people: I was Italian tutor for international students, sports coach, and environmental projects assistant. I have a high sense of empathy and very good communication skills as well as listening skills. My teaching method is based on listening the needs and peculiarities of each student: some might want to focus on conversation, some on grammar, on a mix of everything, or on the preparation of a specific exam. Hi, my name is Chiara and I’m from Italy, but I lived abroad for about 6 years, in the UK, in Australia, in New Zealand and in Perù. 

I love traveling and meeting new people and experiencing different cultures. That’s why I decided to study languages. I am a polyglot and besides English and Italian, I can also speak Spanish, French, and German. So I know what it’s like to study a foreign language! I can teach you how to improve your speaking, and your listening, because I’ve done it myself in the first place! I also know that sometimes learning a language is not easy, but I know how you can overcome these difficulties. 

My lessons vary according to the student’s needs. During our first lesson together we will decide what your goals are and what your level is. My lessons focus on conversation to give you a chance to practise what you have studied independently, and then, if needed, we can revise together some grammar points and learn some vocabulary.

My first goal is always to make the student feel comfortable in speaking another language so that they can feel confident about it and make progress more easily.

Hi! I'm Alessandra, I'm a native Italian teacher and I have 7 years of experience teaching to people of all ages. I'm currently living in Spain and I'm in love with learning new languages and teaching mine. I try to transmit my passion to make the learning process easier and more fun.  

My method is based on conversation, which means we will start to talk together since the beginning, integrating the classes with grammar. I speak English and Spanish fluently, so don't hesitate to ask any questions you have and complete the sentences you make in Italian.

I like to keep my teaching varied and fresh! First of all, I adjust my teaching to the age and the needs of the students, but I always love to interact a lot during lessons (that is also the best way to learn a language and to have fun ;) ) Depending on the student, I use songs, tales, newspaper, ppt presentation or exercises. 

Teaching is a passion for me, that is why I have been doing it for 3 years! I have taught different students with different needs. I taught for 6 months to two students of 14 years old who needed some help because they were not going good at school, then I helped a 20 years old guy to pass his boarding exam for three months and my latest student is a girl of 22 years old who has to take a university exam.
