Hi, I am Eleonora and I am from Italy (near Venice). 

With me, you can improve your conversational Italian. I have more than 6 years of experience tutoring students with different levels of Italian. Some of them were beginners when they started and they managed to reach a good level of Italian after a few months. I also helped more experienced students with their university exams or thesis. So, even if my classes here focus more on spoken Italian when there is a need, we can improve your written and academic Italian. 

My classes are personalized according to your needs, level of language, individual interests, and goals. During the classes, you will improve and learn new vocabulary and grammar. The classes are always different and we will use material such as songs, online videos, news, and literature text to help facilitate the conversation and your learning. My students are of different nationalities and backgrounds giving me the chance to keep on learning myself. My name is Ilaria and I studied International Communication at "University for Foreigners of Perugia", but don't worry (in Italian we would say "tranquillo"), I'm 100% italian!

I have a certification of competence in teaching Italian as a foreign language or second language (CEDILS) issued by the Ca' Foscari University of Venice.

My first experience in teaching Italian as a second language was in 2009 in the south of France.

Once back in Italy I began teaching Italian to foreign students at school...it was 2010.

I've been doing it since then and my students come from all over the world. Today I know for sure that is not enough to be a "native" to teach someone a language.

Grammar is often considered boring but we can't avoid learning it. Only when you know the role and function of every single word in a sentence you'll have a solid understanding that will improve your confidence in speaking a foreign language.  

It's like to lay the foundations for building a house!

So, what can I do for you?

I can make my experience and knowledge available to you and make your learning process easier and faster without forgetting that it should be also pleasant and enjoyable.

If you're not a beginner we can better explore the language and see together all its nuances.

First of all, I adjust my teaching to the age and the needs of the students, but I always love to interact a lot during lessons (that is also the best way to learn a language and to have fun ;) ) Depending on the student, I use songs, tales, newspaper, ppt presentation or exercises. 

Teaching is a passion for me, that is why I have been doing it for 3 years! I have taught different students with different needs. I taught for 6 months to two students of 14 years old who needed some help because they were not going good at school, then I helped a 20 years old guy to pass his boarding exam for three months and my latest student is a girl of 22 years old who has to take a university exam.
