I was born in Argentina but came to Spain twenty years ago, therefore I know Spanish and South American culture to the same extent. My name is Esther and I am a Spanish teacher from Spain. I have lived in Japan for two years and in South Korea for 6 years, so I have a wide multicultural experience. I speak English, Korean and a bit of Japanese. I love languages and cultures inspire me. I want to work in helping people all around the world understanding each other.

Regarding my studies, I am a Spanish philology graduated, DELE accredited examiner from level A1 to level C2 by Instituto Cervantes and I have a master’s degree in Spanish Teaching as a Foreigner Language. ME AS A TEACHER AND TEACHING STYLE

I consider myself to be an easy person to talk to, patient and fun. I have experience teaching different kinds of students from kids to adults in both online and classroom settings (more than 3000 lessons online + 3 years of classroom setting experience). I have been implementing a combination of the Flipped classroom and communicative approach into the lessons and so far, I have seen great improvement in my students' ability to communicate. My focus is to make you speak NATURAL and EVERYDAY Spanish, and understand Spanish speakers thanks to a system and a 30' routine.

TYPES OF LESSONS AND MATERIALS: 

🎥Action programme (B1-B2 LEVEL): we'll learn Spanish language and culture together thanks to the famous series called "AQUÍ NO HAY QUIEN VIVA". If you're an intermediate student this programme will specifically enhance your listening skills and will improve your performance in everyday situations so that you can connect effectively with locals.

📚Flipped classroom programme (A1-B2LEVEL): You'll be learning everyday language and culture during these sessions by affordable mini tasks that you can do in 30' a day. The programme will especially boost your speaking skills for everyday situations in an organized, structured and visual way. Materials will be sent every weekend (video lessons, PDFS, flashcards, grammar games...) and all skills will be covered. 

📚🎥Flex lessons: They can be a mix of structure lesson (the one above) and flexible lessons.

I prefer to teach grammar with  examples because they contain chunks of grammar that we will later encounter in other phrases and grammar constructions. You will create your examples and incorporate the grammar rules. We will learn grammar from real-life scenarios where people communicate naturally their thoughts, following a communicative learning approach. We will also work on Google Sheets, which you will always have access to and where we can work on and save all of our learning sessions.

I will send you homework regularly just so you can work on your Spanish in between every session that we have. 

I encourage you to focus on the process rather than the outcome. IIf we trust the process, we make progress! Falling in love with the journey of language acquisition is the most rewarding path by far. 

So far I've learned that certain teaching methods are best suited to specific students. Each student has their own preferred learning style and unique goals, and yours will be a guide for me to personalize your lessons. 

I believe that every student has a valuable voice that should be heard, that's how I will organize our future lessons. My teaching style is flexible. I can designing a study plan independently or collaboratively with the student.
