I've got more than 5 years of experience in language schools and online. I'm passionate about learning languages and culture through them.

I have studies in Hispanic literature and linguistics at UNAM. So, we can talk about many topics related to Latin America literature and culture or I can offer lessons with a linguistic approach: phonetics, grammar, lexicon, etc.

Thanks to this amazing profession as a Spanish teacher, I've had the chance of meeting students from different countries and backgrounds.

PRONUNCIATION LESSONS

Our vocal apparatus is one more muscle that we have to exercise for better results. In our pronunciation lessons we are going to make each part of your mouth working out. This way, you will sound more natural when speaking not only Spanish but other languages you intend to learn in the future. There's no matter if you are interested in a particular accent, I can help you anyways!

I cover all levels and have experience in conversational classes. Every class is adapted to the student's level and will tailored to your needs.

Practical, conversational Spanish includes lots of activities, like word games, guess the word, creating stories using different tenses... 

But if you prefer, we can also have dictations, make grammar exercises or choose online resources or magazine articles to talk about.

And, about me... I was born and raised in Spain (Burgos), and still living here. I love languages and always try to help as much as I can.

¡Hola! Me llamo Luis y soy de Cáceres, España. I live in Spain, close to Portugal, and I've also lived in Japan and Portugal. I am up to date with the newest learning theories, I use "Language Transfer" and "Comprehensible Input", so the materials are adapted to these methods, focusing on learning in context. I also love culture and history (film, music, literature, geography) ¡Nos vemos en clase!

My lessons are directed to students of all levels looking to develop their own speaking and writing style in Spanish. I believe that the creative drive is one of the most powerful accelerators of learning and in particular, language learning; so my classes involve acting exercises, fun writing prompts, vocal training akin to singers' training, and a variety of further creative work.

We will work on near perfect pronunciation through vocal practice that takes from singing practice, but focuses on diction. You'll become aware of how the muscles of your mouth and face create sound, and how using different resonance points throughout your face will get you to reproduce just the sound you were stuck with. Muscle memory, baby!

Fluency in articulating your own thoughts and essence in Spanish is achievable through writing prompts that do feel important for you. To write about a topic that actually matters to you, I'll provide you with beautiful vocabulary words, and we'll get through grammatical forms that may better encapsulate your ideas and feelings. I will help you make Spanish your own.

If you are wanting to absorb a particular part of Hispanic or Latino culture (e.g. Rosalía's composition, rap music, particular accents, reggeaton's lyrics), we will investigate and go through the elements at interest to get you to the point of creation. If you are a musician or a writer, I can help you use the rhythmic essence of Spanish in your own art. Hit me up!

Within every technique I use, I work with my knowledge of neural connection strengthening and weakening, all facilitated through repetition, reward, understanding and reprogramming of reflexes, investigation of previous outdated strategies, etc. Emotional management is key to success, and we'll work on that in your training just as much as in the linguistic side.

I am in love with languages, I started studying English and French when I was 14 years old. my learning experience was mainly with private teachers in my hometown.

I lived one year in Germany where I taught Spanish to many friends.

The first one is a class where you can ask me any question you want about Spanish. It can be about vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation, or even about our way of thinking. ;)

The second type of class is one in which I use my own teaching method, with which you can practice your writing, speaking, and listening comprehension skills, and also improve your pronunciation and grammar during every session.

My name is Mercedes and I am from a beautiful city in the south of Spain called Cádiz.

I have been teaching Spanish for many years now ( +3000 hours taught online) and during this time I have learnt a lot teaching both online and in person as I was able to start my teaching path in the lovely capital city of Scotland, Edinburgh 💙

I am certified as a Spanish language teacher through International House, a worldwide Organization that stands up for a communicative method.

My experience has taught me how effective it is to create a relaxed and calmed working environment in which both the student and the teacher feel comfortable working together towards a specific goal.

I am a person with extensive experience teaching adults, from basic to advanced levels. I have helped students to learn Spanish for many purposes: traveling in Latino América or España, planning to do El Camino de Santiago, improving your attention and memory, doing an exam or even planning to move to a Spanish speaking country.

My teaching style is different from the traditional approach we have had in schools since childhood.

First, we will get into context to the topic through a video, an image, a reading, etc. Then we will learn the grammar or vocabulary concept to be introduced that day, and then we will do a good practice to internalize it.
