I’m a native and qualified Spanish teacher who has been living and teaching in London and other parts around the world for more than 10 years both online and face-to-face.

My experience teaching these subjects varies in ages, from 6 to 87 years old across different nationalities, backgrounds and abilities.

I have a lot of of experience with kids and adults (A1-C2) and GCSE’s, A-levels and DELE preparation, conversation, writing, reading, pronunciation, extra help with homework, etc. I teach individuals and groups.

My classes are always tailored to my students needs and are dynamic, fun and with tons of practice! I use online books, audio and many visual elements. 

I’m super laid back, patient and absolutely adore anything related to languages, Arts & Science, the ocean and traveling.

My name is Karim and I hold a degree in Foreign Languages and a certificate as a Language Teacher from the University of Cambridge. I've been teaching Spanish since 2014 and learning languages for 10 years now. So I know what it feels like to struggle with a foreign language both as a student and as a teacher.

Your lessons will be fully customized according to your own needs. In general, we will have conversations based on your goals and interests so that you actively learn and practice vocabulary and structure. You won't be taught too many grammar rules unless you require this.

As a teacher, I use a communicative method that aims to learn a second language through real-life examples to be able to communicate in everyday situations. My classes are fun and effective. ¡Hola! I am a teacher of Spanish as a foreign language at the University of Hong Kong and I am passionate about helping students learn Spanish in a practical and fun way. My teaching experience has been gained in schools, universities, and small online groups of individuals. Additionally, I am also an examiner of the official exams of the Cervantes Institute. In my spare time, I enjoy traveling, reading, and learning about different cultures.

I am a certified Spanish teacher with experience teaching in various settings including schools, universities, and online. My methodology is very practical and focused on my students practicing the language and learning from their mistakes in an enjoyable and positive way. I use ELE Actual Spanish books as a guide, but it is not necessary for students to buy them as all materials are included in the price of my lessons. During the week, students will have access to the Google Classroom platform to review the class's content, solve exercises as homework, and review materials and corrections I will provide.

My training as a Spanish instructor is based on studies of Spanish grammar and using the communicative approach methodology that is based on practical and simple activities that help develop skills such as oral expression, listening comprehension, writing with dictation and reading as well. Of course phonetics is included. Each class focuses on the specific needs of each student.

In each class I emphasize oral practice to help students feel confident to express themselves naturally in specific situations.

In some cases, the grammatical structure is included in a simplified and dynamic way, and the grammatical concepts may or may not be used in our class, depending on the interests or preferences of each student.

Also, I like to share the history and culture of my country and Latin America through the practice of Spanish as a natural practice for intermediate and advanced Spanish.

Teaching Spanish is one of my passions, and I love seeing my students become passionate about learning and improving their skills every day. I firmly believe that learning Spanish should be fun, exciting, and inspiring. My main goal is for my students to learn, improve, and achieve their goals. In my classes, we will focus not only on grammar but also on pronunciation, comprehension, interaction, and writing. You will learn by speaking, reading, writing, and listening. I have been a Spanish teacher (ELE) since 2019. I studied at the Center for Applied Linguistics (CELA), the Cálamo & Cran training center, ELE International, and the European University Miguel de Cervantes. I also hold a degree in Philology and a Master’s degree in Linguistics from the University of Salamanca, and I have been an official examiner of the DELE exams since 2024. In my classes, I apply an eclectic and communicative method, tailored to the needs of my students.
