I have been a qualified teacher for 10 years, I am Spanish although I have lived in many different countries. My mother tongue is Spanish but I also speak English, Portuguese and a little French. Teaching Spanish is my passion. The part I like the most about my job is the opportunity to meet different people and learn from them while they enjoy learning Spanish.

My classes are fun and effective. With me you will learn grammar, vocabulary and culture and we will focus on the conversation. I design the classes and the material for each student according to their interests, objectives, level and age.

My lessons are personalized to each student, very relaxed and easygoing. They are mainly focused on conversation, while also explaining specific grammar topics whenever necessary. My students receive constant feedback and of course any topic of conversation is welcomed!

🗣  CONVERSATION  ➡️   In our class, I will share my screen so you can see a whiteboard where I write down the new vocabulary and, as they come up in the conversation, we will also review the grammar topics you need to work on in more depth. Basically, the lesson is always guided by conversation. Our goal is to speak, speak, and speak, while at the same time gradually improving grammar and morphology.

 💌  GRAMMAR  ➡️  Sometimes it’s necessary to pause and pay attention to certain grammar rules or focus on verb conjugations, so we can also dedicate time to reviewing these in depth in order to use them more confidently in conversation.

Hello! I'm from Guatemala, the country of eternal spring.

I lived in Costa Rica for more than a year, and I have traveled all over Central America.  I love being a Spanish teacher because through my students I also learn about their culture and traditions.  And of course my desire is to help them learn this beautiful language.

I have been teaching this wonderful language for 18 years to different ages and levels. I am a very patient, flexible and smiling teacher.

My goal is to make you speak fluently and confidently, to make you feel comfortable and to have dynamic and fun lessons.

I adapt to the needs of each student. My classes are structured using student-friendly tools and I always focus on the four important skills: speaking, listening, reading and writing.

I have also studied theology and I am a bible teacher for children.

I offer conversation practice and structured courses, from absolute beginner to C1, grammar drills and homework if you wish. Wide experience with adults and senior students. I will provide you with notes and examples from our lessons, during the lesson in Google Docs, or after the lesson, via e-mail. You don't need to decide in advance if you prefer Latin American Spanish or European Spanish, I can teach you the main differences and help you decide. 

In our first lesson or trial we will figure out how your learning plan will be, depending on your individual needs, learning style and goals. If it's your first online lesson, there's no need to stress, I'm very understanding and patient.

My passion is helping professionals master conversational fluency quickly. I focus on real-world scenarios, so you can start applying the language immediately in travel and business. I am up to date with the newest learning theories, I use "Language Transfer" and "Comprehensible Input", so the materials are adapted to these methods, focusing on learning in context. ¡Hola! My name is Pablo. I am a native Spanish-speaking tutor from Guatemala. 

With over 20 years of teaching experience, I can help you reach your Spanish goals. I have a teaching certificate from the University of San Carlos and have taught Spanish in schools, universities, and online. I teach from beginners to advanced, and my students range from school students to 80 year olds! 

In the first lesson, I'll find out your Spanish level and interests to customize lessons that inspire your learning journey. For instance, if you enjoy films, we can include movie discussions. Don't worry if you are new to Spanish as we can begin from the basics.

For school students, lessons are tailored to match your school curriculum, and we will work towards achieving the highest grades. For adults, the lessons are focused, practical and fun. You will learn Spanish language skills to apply to real-world scenarios. You can go from knowing no Spanish at all to soon putting together your own sentences.  Whilst I use a textbook to provide structure to the lessons, I also use other resources from YouTube videos to Spanish-speaking film clips. 

Since I am from Guatemala, I love sharing with my students, the richness of Latin American culture and customs!  I am a very patient person and also have a good sense of humour so it's never a dull class.
