Hello everyone! I'm Angie.

I'm from Bogotá, Colombia, and I’m a certified English teacher with a bachelor’s degree in Teaching English as a Foreign Language. My native language is Spanish, and I’ve been living in the United States for the past five years.

I’ve had the pleasure of teaching students of all ages — from young children to teenagers and adults — which has helped me develop a variety of activities and strategies tailored to different ages, needs, and learning styles.

I’m really looking forward to seeing you in my classes!

I've got more than 5 years of experience in language schools and online. I'm passionate about learning languages and culture through them.

I have studies in Hispanic literature and linguistics at UNAM. So, we can talk about many topics related to Latin America literature and culture or I can offer lessons with a linguistic approach: phonetics, grammar, lexicon, etc.

Thanks to this amazing profession as a Spanish teacher, I've had the chance of meeting students from different countries and backgrounds.

PRONUNCIATION LESSONS

Our vocal apparatus is one more muscle that we have to exercise for better results. In our pronunciation lessons we are going to make each part of your mouth working out. This way, you will sound more natural when speaking not only Spanish but other languages you intend to learn in the future. There's no matter if you are interested in a particular accent, I can help you anyways!

These are some items you can expect in your lessons:

° Articulatory phonetics exercises.

° Tongue twisters.

° Dictation of words.

° Reading short texts aloud.

📝In my grammar classes, the students receive detailed information on grammar issues following a designed curriculum that goes from A1 (beginner) level to C1-C2 (advanced) level. When practicing, we have a conversation and I give feedback using what they've learned.

In the conversation lessons, we focus on speaking and listening. I always promote debate and offer necessary corrections. We can cover a range of topics, e.g., current events, culture, science, philosophy, or even a topic proposed by the student beforehand.

My name is Lorena. I am from Barcelona, I have lived in UK and Japan and now I live in Asturias, in the north of Spain. I love cats, travelling, getting to know people from all over the world and, of course, languages. I speak Spanish, Catalan, English, Japanese and a little bit of French. So I can also give you some advice having being a language student myself. 

I have been teaching for more than 20 years and I have 13 years of experience as an online teacher. I love technology, it helps teachers to adapt our classes to students with different learning styles and it makes it easier to provide an immersion experience as well. I have a Master's Degree in Teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language and I am a certified DELE examiner so I can help you pass an exam as well. 

My classes are very communicative. You will be start speaking Spanish from day one! And if you are interested, I can include culture topics on my classes so that you can get to know about Spanish music, cinema, history or news.

¡Hola! My name is María and I'm from Mexico. 

I have 3 years of teaching experience. I majored in Languages from Universidad de las Américas Puebla and I obtained a certification to teach Spanish as a foreign language. My classes use a blended methodology that incorporates grammar and communication activities in a laid-back and dynamic way. I have hand picked or created all the materials according to the needs of my students and I often use resources like audios, videos and games to make the lesson more interactive. My main goal is to help my students feel comfortable expressing themselves and learn at their own pace.

My favorite part of language teaching is getting to know the cultures and interests of my students. I'd be happy to work on a plan that fits your needs. You don't need any previous experience learning Spanish or a foreign language. Since I am also a doctoral student I only have a limited number of hours. However, I have a flexible schedule and if you don’t see a time that works for you we can discuss an alternative during the trial lesson.

I offer conversation practice and structured courses, from absolute beginner to C1, grammar drills and homework if you wish. Wide experience with adults and senior students. I will provide you with notes and examples from our lessons, during the lesson in Google Docs, or after the lesson, via e-mail. You don't need to decide in advance if you prefer Latin American Spanish or European Spanish, I can teach you the main differences and help you decide. 

In our first lesson or trial we will figure out how your learning plan will be, depending on your individual needs, learning style and goals. If it's your first online lesson, there's no need to stress, I'm very understanding and patient. 

Oh and to tell you a little about me...I love animals, languages, reading and traveling.

Our lessons for beginner follow a sequential program, each building on the last for optimal learning. By the end, you'll:

• Master fundamental Spanish structures and grammar.
• Command the top 1000 words, using them fluently.
• Develop a natural and clear Spanish pronunciation.
• Gain insights into cultural nuances.
• Discover your unique learning style and effective strategies to advance your Spanish.

Periodic written and spoken assessments will ensure we stay on course. 

I will create flashcards for you to review the notes of each lesson and provide detailed homework to ensure you use your time effectively outside our lessons too!
