As a matter of fact I speak six languages (English, Spanish, Portuguese, French, a little bit of Dutch and Italian). I know how hard and challenging it can be to learn a new language, and I strongly believe that practice is key to improve and learn a new language. So, be ready to speak with me! A few years ago, when I was in bed at night and almost ready to sleep, I used to ask myself this question : "Why would people want to learn French? Are they crazy?"

Well... Are you? 

It definitely takes guts for someone to take the obscure path of French learning, especially when you know that almost no francophone can speak French perfectly. And it is this courageous desire detected in French learners that made me want to start teaching this language three years ago. In fact, besides the syntactic complexity of this language (which, by the way, is most likely to be a cliché), French is a very poetic language, as it allows countless accesses to figurative speeches (so if you tend to be a little sarcastic at times, this might be perfect for you). Plus, French is cool and sounds fancy too, so... 😗

About me : My name is Clarysse. I am 22 years old, I've been teaching Latin and French for the past two years and I am very passionate about everything I do. If I had to describe myself in three words as a tutor, I would say funny, methodical and adaptable.

I’ve been a professional French teacher since 2007. I taught French in various language schools, for big companies and at university. Since 2020, I’ve been teaching exclusively online. These experiences have allowed me to be in contact with different types of students, from children to adults, from beginner to proficiency, for leisure or business purposes or to prepare for the official French certifications (I’m also a DELF examiner). Therefore, I’m used to adapt to the needs and learning objectives of my students. This means that I can choose the right teaching material so that we can practice and progress according to your own goals and interests.

My name is Magali. As a native French, I've been a full time and private French tutor since 2015. I have been helping adults and kids from basic to advanced levels to become more at ease and confident. I offer a variety of lessons: 

• lessons (beginners/false beginners/intermediate): learn in the context of real life with dialogues of everyday life (pronunciation, reading, role-plays, vocabulary, small talks/conversations and grammar essentials)
• oral expression (intermediate +): practice and develop your skills on various topics or topics you are interested in

Learning languages is a passion of mine, along with many others :-) I welcome everyone to come and learn with me; whatever your current level, I’ll be very happy to help you gain more fluency in French. I’m very patient and will provide a cheerful and safe environment where you can talk without any stress or fear of being judged. I try to stick to French as much as possible during the lessons in order to build up your confidence about being able to navigate through your new language. 

I believe in helping you master French as it is spoken/written by actual French-speaking people, not textbooks. This means adapting the material and language level to the situation. Indeed, we don’t usually speak in daily life the way a journalist does on the news. And we don’t write a formal report as we would an email to a friend. So knowing your goals and why you are learning French is essential.

I am Chantal, a native French speaker. I also speak English fluently, and I have some knowledge of Spanish. I have been a Certified Secondary School Teacher for 20+ years, and I am still just as passionate about teaching!
