My name is Oana Maria and I am a professional language teacher and a Linguist graduated at the University of Bordeaux , France. I am currently living in North Norway. I came here to take a second master on Sami language and culture, and recently I have been working in an alternative school with kids. 

I am an eternal language learner and a nomad at heart. I love getting to know new places, living in different countries and cultures and never stop learning. I consider learning a language as buying a new pair of shoes that will lead you to a new culture, experience and life style. And definitely, open up your horizons. 

I am currently developing my own methodology to teach languages through theater and arts, therefore my lessons are full of games, dialogues and dramaturgical exercices to make you feel comfortable using the language but also creative and dynamic and ready to use the language in everyday situation.

What do I offer? I provide tailored French conversations and classes to help you improve your speaking skills, pronunciation, and vocabulary. My goal is to make you feel at ease with the language and able to engage in natural conversations with native speakers. With my guidance, you’ll gain confidence to express yourself authentically in French.

During our trial session, we’ll outline your goals, level, and aspirations. I’ll then craft personalised lessons to meet your needs. I don’t assign homework unless requested, but I share curated French content, videos, podcasts, songs and more to complement our sessions and immerse you further in the language.

My teaching style? Relaxed yet effective, blending cultural insights with practical language skills. We’ll explore how French is spoken in daily life. I correct mistakes using the "silent method," so you can speak freely. Feedback and tips are provided after each session. I can adapt to a more formal or structured approach if you prefer.

A little about me. I’m a native French speaker from Northern France, nicknamed “woman with a suitcase” for my love of travel. I’ve been passionately teaching French for three years. Seeing my students achieve their goals and grow confident inspires me.

I also offer French immersion stays in France, giving students a unique chance to practice the language in real-life situations while experiencing French culture, cuisine and traditions. It is an unforgettable way to accelerate learning.

As someone learning two other languages, I know the joys and challenges of mastering a new language. This motivates me to create lessons that are practical, engaging and focused on real progress.

Qualifications and experience: 10 years of experience in Scotland and France including 5 years online. Master's degree in History (1st), a French as a foreign language teaching degree (DAEFLE). Accredited DELF-DALF, TEF and TCF examiner.

The classes I offer:     

a- Communication French: to travel and live in France, the French that you need in everyday life situations (going shopping, booking hotels, dealing with administrations etc). Working from examples followed by vocab, grammar and communication practice.

b- Exam prep (DELF-DALF, TEF and TCF): tips on how to prepare yourself and get the best results and practice with marking and feedback.

c- Business French: Studying and practice of business French to learn useful workplace skills (leading a meeting, phone calls, interviews, making a resume etc)

d- Phonetics; I have created a very wide range of resources over the years to make sure you'll polish your accent quickly! 

e- Conversation: about the topics of your choice (using texts and videos as starting point or no). Optional feedback on your vocab, grammar and pronunciation at the end of the class.

I’m very patient and will provide a cheerful and safe environment where you can talk without any stress or fear of being judged. I try to stick to French as much as possible during the lessons in order to build up your confidence about being able to navigate through your new language. 

I believe in helping you master French as it is spoken/written by actual French-speaking people, not textbooks. This means adapting the material and language level to the situation. Indeed, we don’t usually speak in daily life the way a journalist does on the news. And we don’t write a formal report as we would an email to a friend. So knowing your goals and why you are learning French is essential.

Hello, how are you? My name is Sylvain, I'm 30 and from Belgium. I currently live in São Paulo, Brazil with my wife. I have a degree in management, but I've been working as a French teacher since I arrived in Brazil. 
I did a university exchange in Chile, which helped me learn Spanish.  I'm a curious person and I'm interested in almost every topic, but I particularly like talking about the economy, politics, technology and cultural differences between countries.After arriving in Brazil, an opportunity came up for me to work as a French teacher in a school for adults, where I worked for the first two years. After that, I decided to become self-employed and concentrate on one-to-one, in-company and online teaching. Today, I have students of all levels with different objectives (work, travel, pleasure, French language maintenance, diplomacy etc.) and I love it when they are satisfied and see themselves progressing. On top of that, I find it very interesting to be able to talk to people with different profiles, backgrounds and histories.


We will define the material to be used according to your specific needs. We'll work with a variety of materials such as:
-French language methods (Défi, Tout va bien, Alter Ego, etc.)

-Grammar/vocabulary books covering general themes or more specific to your objectives

 I come from Nancy in the north-east of France. I lived one year in Spain and  I am living now in Dublin. 

 I studied Performing Art and film studies in France, Spain and in Ireland. I am passionate about travelling, discovering new cultures and art. I completed a diploma to teach French to foreigners (DAEFLE- Alliance Française de Paris) in 2023. I am also an examiner and corrector for the DELF-DALF exam.

I started teaching French part-time 6 years ago when I moved to Dublin. I used to help Irish teenagers to prepare their French exams (Leaving Cert - Junior Cert) and students at the University (preparing oral exams, proof-reading essays).  I have been teaching French online since April 2020 and in person to adults and kids in some languages school since February 2021. 

I teach French to all levels (beginners to advanced) and all ages (kids, teenagers, adults). I can help you to improve your French skills (grammar, vocabulary, French culture, oral fluency) , to prepare your essays, oral presentation, job interview, Delf-Dalf exams  … With  children I usually use a power point to learn basics vocabulary and sentences, and make French games with them. 

I am flexible to your needs, level and way of learning. I use videos and articles based on your interests and encourage practising conversation. I also often relate the lessons to French culture as film, music, news , literature ... I can provide grammar lessons and exercises.

Then we do exercices to practice.

After this, we have an oral conversation and you have the opportunity to use the grammar rules and the vocabulary studied.

In the beginning of each lesson, we review words studied previously.

About Me

I hold degrees in French Literature, Philosophy, and History from Université Paris 10, along with a Master of Science in Global Change Management from HNE Eberswalde.

Before settling in São Paulo, Brazil, I lived and worked in Berlin for five years, where I began teaching languages through private tutoring and literacy classes for young refugees. In 2017, I completed a French language teaching certification and went on to teach at the Technical University of Berlin for three semesters.

Today, I work with a range of language schools in São Paulo, including IFESP, Versátil Idiomas, and the Alliance Française. I have experience teaching students of all ages and levels, and I regularly design personalized learning materials to meet their goals.

Alongside teaching, I work as a translator, with professional experience translating from English, German, and Portuguese into French.

About me

Bonjour ! My name is Adeline & I'm a full-time French teacher. I also speak English fluently and a bit of Spanish. I live in France, my home country, and I like to do conversational classes to teach my language, and sometimes a bit of my culture, to foreigner students. If you want to know a little bit more about me, here are the things I'm passionate about: cooking, gardening, video games, nature, travels and other cultures. I also enjoy learning new things therefore do not hesitate to tell me everything about your very own interests :)

My lessons

Whether you are here to learn French from scratch, or to improve that language, you've come to the right person. As I can speak English and Spanish, don't worry if your French is not completely fluent: we will work on it together. I learned my other languages while traveling so I'm very aware about the fact that the best way to learn a language is by practicing it everyday in casual conversations.
I usually like to start with a first conversation to evaluate your French level and your goals. We will then decide together what kind of class, duration and frequency best suits your needs, level and availability. Then I will adapt the way I speak and teach to your personal needs. 
We will spend the majority of our time together having conversations in French and, if you want, I also can provide formal lessons with exercises & oral or written comprehension.
