My name is Oana Maria and I am a professional language teacher and a Linguist graduated at the University of Bordeaux , France. I am currently living in North Norway. I came here to take a second master on Sami language and culture, and recently I have been working in an alternative school with kids. 

I am an eternal language learner and a nomad at heart. I love getting to know new places, living in different countries and cultures and never stop learning. I consider learning a language as buying a new pair of shoes that will lead you to a new culture, experience and life style. And definitely, open up your horizons. 

I am currently developing my own methodology to teach languages through theater and arts, therefore my lessons are full of games, dialogues and dramaturgical exercices to make you feel comfortable using the language but also creative and dynamic and ready to use the language in everyday situation.

About me?

 Initially I finished my baccalaureate in Literature (2001) but since then life brought me a bit everywhere. I volunteered for various populations (4 years), and graduated in BSSW (2019). Swiss, I call myself a wanderer because my heart got colored with all the beautiful cultures I have encountered on my exotic journey in Europe, Kenya, and Philippines. 

Since 2020, I have been blessed with wonderful students from all around the world: more than 150 students from +30 different nationalities. I love my work and the people I meet on the way!

Bonjour, my name is Catherine. I am a French Canadian who lives in Mexico. I also speak English and basic Spanish.

I have been teaching French for more than 4 years in person and online. In my classes, you will learn: vocabulary, verbs, simple grammar and conversation skills.

You will also practice your pronunciation, read and write. My teaching approach will be adapted to your needs and has helped a lot of my students to speak French quickly. I can send you a document with the content of each class and some exercises.

Hello, my name is Marvin, I am French but I live in Galicia, west of Spain. I have been an online teacher for three years now during which I have given more than 1600 lessons. Also, I am currently finishing my master's degree in didactics to teach French. And before that, I graduated from the Alliance Française to be certified as a professional teacher.

During my lessons, I know how to be flexible to adapt to your needs and your personality. If you want conversation classes, we can discuss freely or prepare the session through an article or any other authentic document and I will bring you the necessary corrections over the course of the exchange. If you are looking to improve a particular language point, my goal will be to expose you to it and help you determine how it works. In addition, thanks to my knowledge of the different levels of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, I can adapt my level of French as well as the topics worked on to each person. My students highlight that I am very patient and also reactive and precise in answering their various questions.

I myself have experience in language learning. I speak English and Spanish at an advanced level, I have some notions of German and Japanese and I am currently learning Galician. Hi, I'm Sabrina, I was born in Bayonne but my studies in French Literature and French as a Foreign Language led me to live and work in different places and countries, to many students of all ages and levels ! 

That's why I would be delighted to teach my French language, whether you need it for your work, your studies, to pass your DELF/DALF examens, to brush up your grammar or to master the "art de la conversation". I always tailor my lesson, based on your level, your goals and your interests. 

As a creative person, I try to use that part of my personality to make our lesson fun yet efficient, in a relaxed atmosphere where you feel confident to speak and explore French. This is the time where you have the ability to speak French as much as possible.

I’m always in search for new material (articles, songs, podcasts, games…) to work on, trying as much as possible to use authentic material and any tools (Google Docs, screenshare, slides…) that seem adequate to learn the language French people actually speak. 

I've got loads of texbooks as well, where I like to extract interesting texts or drills to make you practise when it seems relevant to do so. 

What's important to me is that each online lesson is a place and time where you can feel confident to speak in French, in a relaxed atmosphere where you can explore our beautiful language and culture. 

I am a very easy-going, passionate and good-natured person, keen in many different subjects and aspects of our life. When I'm not teaching, I like reading, watching movies, writing, walking, traveling, practising yoga, doing theater and struggling on my guitar ! (To only name a few)

Hello! My name is Laurent. I'm French, live near Paris and I work there as an engineer. I have always liked to learn languages. I can speak English, Portuguese, French Creole and obviously French. I know how difficult it is to learn a new language. For me, the best way to learn a language is to speak it, to be able to communicate with someone. Together we will practice conversation, reading, writing, listening and pronunciation with different kinds of supports. I can prepare you for the DELF A1,A2,B1 or B2 exam. Qualifications and experience: 10 years of experience in Scotland and France including 5 years online. Master's degree in History (1st), a French as a foreign language teaching degree (DAEFLE). Accredited DELF-DALF, TEF and TCF examiner.

The classes I offer:     

a- Communication French: to travel and live in France, the French that you need in everyday life situations (going shopping, booking hotels, dealing with administrations etc). Working from examples followed by vocab, grammar and communication practice.

b- Exam prep (DELF-DALF, TEF and TCF): tips on how to prepare yourself and get the best results and practice with marking and feedback.

c- Business French: Studying and practice of business French to learn useful workplace skills (leading a meeting, phone calls, interviews, making a resume etc)

d- Phonetics; I have created a very wide range of resources over the years to make sure you'll polish your accent quickly! 

e- Conversation: about the topics of your choice (using texts and videos as starting point or no). Optional feedback on your vocab, grammar and pronunciation at the end of the class.

      Bonjour ! Pourquoi souhaites-tu apprendre le français ? Peut-être pour voyager ou pour ton travail ? Ou simplement pour l'amour de la langue. Mon but est de t'aider à atteindre tes objectifs quels qu'ils soient.  J'adapte mes classes selon les niveaux, besoins et surtout envies ! Je suis ouverte à tout. 

      Si tu viens de commencer à apprendre la langue, nous verrons par exemple ensemble les bases de la langue, la prononciation, mais discuterons d'hors et déjà :) Le but étant de faire le cours tout en ayant l'impression de ne pas travailler, plutôt cool non ?  Si tu as besoin de parler français dans une situation précise, nous ferons ensemble des exercices ludiques, des études de vidéos ou de textes, des mises en situation... Et si tu souhaites juste discuter ou faire un mix de tout ça c'est tout à fait possible.

      Hello! Why do you want to learn French? Maybe to travel or for your job? Or simply for the love of the language. My goal is to help you achieve your goals whatever they may be. I adapt my classes according to levels, needs and especially desires! I am open to everything.

      If you have just started learning the language, we will see for example together the basics of the language, pronunciation, but will discuss already and already :) The goal is to do the course while having the impression of not working, pretty cool right? If you need to speak French in a specific situation, we will do fun exercises together, study videos or texts, role-plays... And if you just want to discuss or do a mix of all that it is quite possible.

      After each course, I send a document tracing all the corrections that I was able to make during the course. I also create homework according to the needs of each student, if they wish.

About me

I graduated in French Literature, Philosophy and History (Université Paris 10), and I hold a M. Sc. in Global Change Management (HNE Eberswalde).

Before I moved to São Paulo, Brazil, I lived five years in Berlin where I started to teach. There I tutored privately and also gave literacy classes in German for young refugees. From May 2017 to September 2017, I did training to be a French teacher and I taught French at the Technical University of Berlin for three semesters.

At the moment, I work with several language schools in São Paulo (IFESP, Versátil Idiomas, and the French Alliance). I have experience with teaching to all levels and ages. I also have experience in creating didactic material. 

In parallel to my teaching activities, I also have a solid experience with translation work (English, German, Portuguese > French).

Hi, my name is Farid. Teaching French is something I really enjoy, especially when I witness my students progressing in the language and towards their goals. I have been teaching French for almost 4 years now. My students are children, teenagers and adults of all ages and levels. My lessons are usually customized to meet the needs of the students. I use different materials to teach my students; like comprehension texts, dialogues, stories, vocab materials, games..etc.. I have obtained a Level 7 Diploma in Teaching skills and I also hold a DBS check up-to-date.

In 2010, I left my birth country France to move to the United Kingdom. I am currently in Algeria for a few months, as I wanted to (re)discover my parents country. I love travelling and discovering new cultures and languages. I also speak a little Arabic.
