My name is Giusy, I'm a native italian speaker. I've been learning multiple languages for many years now and it is something I am extremely passionate about, which means that I know how difficult it is to learn a language, especially if you are nervous or worried about making mistakes. As your community tutor, I will make sure to keep the conversation fun and easy so you always feel comfortable and relaxed during a lesson. My teaching style is informal and friendly, you will learn new vocabulary and improve your pronounciation while discussing our goals, hobbies and passions. We will focus on creating the perfect balance between the four key aspects of learning a language: speaking, listening, writing and reading, using a range of digital resources to keep the lesson fun and interesting.See Reviews From Students
My name is Enzo and I am a professional Italian teacher from Catania, Sicily. In the past, from 2014 onward, I taught private Italian classes in foreign countries, where I had moved abroad to participate in volunteer work. In my free time I volunteer as a full time teacher as part of a worldwide educational program. I also work as an instructor of group classes on public speaking and presentations, which has given me great experience in this field.
I am happy to help students of all ages! I enjoy teaching vocabulary, pronunciation and conversational Italian to my students. I believe that learning Italian should be a fun process. You can perfect your pronunciation and fluency without pressure in my classes. I'm also fluent in German, Spanish, and English, so if you are a new, beginner-level student there should be no problem communicating.
I look forward to meeting you and helping you to become fluent in Italian!
Ciao, I am Giulia and I am from Italy🇮🇹
I have travelled a lot in Europe in the last few years and this has allowed me to meet people from all over the world.
When I moved to the UK, my English was really bad, and I studied hard to improve it and to be able to speak it fluently.
I know how difficult it is to learn a new language and feel comfortable when using it. I want to be able to help you to speak Italian fluently, without fears!☺️
Travelling helped me to improve my English and I had the opportunity to help my new friends to learn Italian through simple conversations, learning a new word every day, doing exercises and other activities.
I can teach you my culture, my cuisine or anything else you want to know about Italy!🍕🍝🍷
No matter what level,
No matter which goals you want to achieve, I will help you learn or improve your Italian through customized lessons, projects and exercises. We will find the best study method for you!
Feel free to book a trial lesson, it could be the start of your journey in learning a new language. Let’s customize together your lessons according to your needs!
I look forward to hearing from you!See Reviews From Students
I am a native Italian teacher specialized in tutoring Italian for beginners, intermediate and advanced learners. I have been working since 2016 for several agencies and for the Foreign & Commonwealth Office in London teaching Italian from scratch. I am also a CILS tutor and exam administrator.
I hold a Bachelor in Linguistics and Italian as a second language and also worked for the publishing of an Italian Collocations Dictionary for Italian learners.
My objective is to keep students challenged but not overwhelmed. I also like to keep lessons engaging, fun and fresh. My students say I am patient and friendly: I do think it is very important to feel safe and supported when learning a new language. So if you want to immerse yourself in the Italian culture and language but find it hard to attend a scheduled group class, or if you want to focus on specific topics or aspects and get faster progress through individual lessons, contact me to get the most suitable 1-to-1 plan for you.
*Please note: I have a Zoom Pro plan. Zoom is in my opinion the best tool for online lessons, and my paid account allows all features, with no time limit on calls. Feel free to select Zoom as your preferred tool when booking: I am the host so you do not have to pay anything to join my meeting.See Reviews From Students

Do you want to improve your speaking skills in an interesting and fun way? Try a Conversation class with me! (Conversation class only)
Hello, I'm Paolo, and I was born and raised in Sardinia, Italy, which is one of the largest and most beautiful islands in the Mediterranean Sea.
I don't live in Italy anymore, as I now travel the world full-time, seeing new places, experiencing new cultures, and learning new languages.
I started working as an online tutor in 2015, and have taught for over 2,000 hours. I offer conversation sessions, so if you have at least an intermediate level of Italian and want to practice with a native tutor, I'm the person you're looking for!
Our sessions will be informal, interesting, and fun! You can practice by speaking in Italian, and I'll give you suggestions and corrections on your pronunciation.
All of our conversation sessions will be exclusively in Italian. Based on your preferences and needs, we'll choose discussion topics, such as travel, food, traditions, and international and Italian news. We can also do reading activities to improve your pronunciation, vocabulary, and comprehension.
Conversation sessions do not involve teaching grammar. If you have any questions, we can discuss them during your trial session. Ciao, a presto!
Hi, My name is Anna, and I'm from Venice in Italy.
I'm a bilingual Italian and English teacher and a freelance translator. I graduated in English language and literature at Ca' Foscari University in Venice, where I live with my family. I got the Postgraduate Master ITALS to teach Italian to foreigners. My current field of research is Psycholinguistics and Neurolinguistics to understand what happens in our brain when we study a new language. I specialized in teaching to adults and seniors.
I also have a CEDILS certification to teach Italian abroad. I've been teaching Italian and English since 2004. I work with students from all backgrounds, and my classes are for those who want to improve Italian communication, grammar, vocabulary and reading.
I focus on your needs, no matter what your level is and I work on your confidence because everyone of us is a learner and I know how it feels when you can't find the words.
My sessions are very personal because I think that each student is different and has a personal way to learn. I'll be very pleased to work with you and help you reach your goals. When I'm not teaching, I like travelling. I lived in London for some time and also in Liverpool while I was writing my thesis about the Scouse variety of English. I also speak Spanish and I'm a learner too, and I perfectly understand how hard it is to study a new language. So, book a class with me and we will learn a lot of new things together.See Reviews From Students

1-on-1 lessons are perhaps the best way to improve speaking skills, and because of this many students use LanguaTalk to learn to speak Italian fluently. That said, some students have other, more specific goals. Tell your tutor what your goals are and they'll tailor the lessons to your needs. Most tutors can help with any of the following:
New to LanguaTalk? You'll have one credit for a free trial. Most tutors offer a trial for free. If they do not, they’ll offer a trial session at a discount compared to their usual hourly rate.
Trial sessions last 30 minutes. They allow you to assess whether the tutor is a good fit for you, and get a feel for learning online. The tutor will assess your level and aim to understand your needs and interests so that they can customise any lessons you decide to take. You'll be encouraged to speak in Italian as much as possible, but of course you can speak in English too!
After your session, if you feel that the tutor isn’t quite right for you, you can simply book a trial with someone else.
Most of the Italian tutors on our site are able to teach students of all levels. When you click on a tutor's profile you'll see if certain levels are not supported. For example, certain tutors cannot teach complete beginners.
Likewise, you can also see on the tutor's profile whether they're suitable for all ages. Online Italian lessons are sometimes taken to support school/college studies. Usually, the tutor will be able to customise the lessons to follow the material and topics covered in the student's exams. Please note that as per our Terms & Conditions, students who are under 18 must get permission from a legal guardian before booking.
Lessons are taught 1-on-1 so that you receive your tutor’s full attention and can make fast progress. Communicating via video call, you’ll be able to talk to your tutor and share learning materials as if you were in the same room.
The tutors vary in terms of their teaching methods, resources, experiences, and personalities. So we suggest you look at several profiles to choose the best tutor for you. Whichever Italian tutor you pick, they'll aim to tailor the lessons to your individual needs.
The vast majority of students take 55-minute lessons. But some tutors also provide the option of 30-minute lessons. If they do, you’ll see this noted on their profile (below their pricing and above the ‘Buy Lessons’ button).
55-minute lessons are recommended for most students. In general, we only suggest considering 30-minute lessons if they’re for your child, or you have an intermediate level and only want conversation practice.
We want students to have an exceptional learning experience on LanguaTalk, so we only accept the very best tutor applications. Though we consider qualifications and experience, we place equal value on communication skills, personality and reviews from previous students. Almost all tutors are native speakers of the language they teach, and we require that they can speak English too.
Each tutor is different - they have different backgrounds, strengths, teaching methods and personalities. So we suggest you browse several profiles to find the right Italian tutor for you.
The beauty of taking lessons online is that you can learn anytime, anywhere. To see tutors who are likely to fit your weekly schedule, use the availability filter at the top. Then when you see a tutor you like, check their profile calendar to make sure their time slots work for you. Some tutors have limited availability as they already have lots of students.
Our booking system is designed to be incredibly easy to use. You can see tutors' available hours in your local time zone. If you choose to book lessons with a tutor, you'll be able to purchase them one at a time, or buy in bulk with a volume discount. You can pay securely by card on our website.
You can manually add bookings to your personal calendar, or if you use Google calendar, you can add bookings automatically with our syncing feature. You'll also be able to receive email reminders to help ensure you don't forget to turn up.
You can reschedule or cancel lessons in a couple of clicks. Note that this can only be done up to 24 hours before the lesson time. This rule is required to protect tutors, who lose income when lessons are cancelled at the last minute.
Sometimes students feel uncertain about learning Italian online because they think it’ll be totally different to learning face-to-face. But usually when they try it, they find that the experience is almost the same and they often build a strong relationship with their tutor.
Once you start a video call with your chosen Italian tutor online, you’ll be able to communicate with them as if you were in the same room. They’ll usually also share learning resources with you (using Google Docs, YouTube etc.) and you’ll be able to collaborate in real-time.
According to the Foreign Service Institute, if you already speak English, Italian is one of the easiest languages to learn. The exact amount of time it will take you to become fluent will depend on many factors, such as your current level, your knowledge of similar languages, your capacity to learn, how you study, and how intensively you study. Some will be able to go from beginner to conversational fluency within a couple of months through intensive study. Others will take longer. Combining 1-on-1 lessons with an online Italian tutor with regular self-study is an effective way to learn Italian fast.
If you live in the US or Europe, face-to-face Italian lessons may cost anywhere between $20 and $60 (USD) per hour. Online tutoring tends to be cheaper than face-to-face because the tutor doesn't need to travel to you. An online Italian tutor could cost anywhere from $13 to $50 per hour, but be aware that very cheap tutors may lack experience. On LanguaTalk, Italian tutors typically charge between $14 and $40 per hour.
Of course, learning 1-on-1 with an experienced Italian tutor is not the cheapest way to learn; you could learn via a free app instead. But if you're serious about learning, nothing beats 1-on-1 Italian lessons with a great teacher.
There is no 'best way' to learn a language - it depends on your needs, level and budget. If you can't afford to take lessons, you can use a free app such as Duolingo to build your vocabulary. And to improve your listening skills, you can watch TV and listen to podcasts in Italian. But to learn how to actually speak a language, you need to talk to a native speaker on a regular basis and receive accurate feedback so that you improve. If you want to make fast progress, it's best to take 1-on-1 lessons that are tailored to your needs by an experienced online Italian teacher.Arabic tutors | Chinese tutors | Dutch tutors | English tutors | French tutors | German tutors | Greek tutors | Japanese tutors | Korean tutors | Portuguese tutors | Romanian tutors | Russian tutors | Spanish tutors | Swedish tutors | Thai tutors
