I have a Bachelors Degree in Translation, a Masters Degree in Teaching Spanish as Second Language, and another one in Hispanic Studies. My name is Gloria. I was born in Barcelona but nowadays I live in a quiet place not far from the city. I am bilingual in Spanish and Catalan and I also speak English and French.

I have been teaching Spanish as a second language online since January 2015 and I have been teaching private classes in other topics to teenagers for about 15 years. Before teaching I had jobs related to my Higher Technical Certificate in Administration.

I know how hard is to learn a language, I know it because I earned two certificates in languages, my First Certificate in English at the Polytechnic of Central London and a Certificat de la Langue Française à l’ l’Alliance Française de Paris.

But what about my lessons? if you book lessons with me, we are not going to do only grammar. We are going to speak!

I will plan lessons according to your needs, level and desires and I’ll correct your mistakes throughout the lesson. I can help you with your pronunciation, vocabulary, expressions and grammar and we’ll focus on your needs based on our conversations.

Speaking is the most difficult goal to achieve and you’ll talk with me without any pressure. Step by step, we'll improve your ability to speak naturally.

Hi! My name is Vanessa, I am from Peru and I currently live in Washington State, in the US. Besides being fluent in Spanish and English, I speak Portuguese (C1) and French(B1).

I have been teaching online since 2018. Being a language learner myself, I know what the most common challenges are when learning a language and the most successful ways to overcome them.

In my opinion, the easiest and most memorable way of learning is having fun during the process. That is why I aim to provide you with a supportive, engaging and thought-provoking environment in which your oral production will take the lead role. Having said that, I am very flexible, and I will adjust my methods according to your specific needs and requirements. On every session, corrections made will be provided on a customized Google doc, so that you can always refer to it whenever you want to study and keep track of our lessons.

I consider myself to be a very patience, disciplined, kind and creative person.

I am passionate about history, pastries, literature, linguistics, animals ( 100% dog lover! 🐕) and, of course, languages. So if you are interested in any of those topics we’ll make a good match :]

I speak Spanish since i am a native speaker from Peru, with a neutral accent. I do speak English fluently, German and a bit of Japanese also.

I use a methodology based on research and methods proven by psychologists and teachers. My classes are ALWAYS prepared and structured to meet your needs. The methodologies i use are:

1️⃣ TPRS  (Teaching Proficiency Through Reading and Storytelling) and comprehensible input -> For learning grammar and vocabulary in a engaging, stress-free way!

2️⃣ Breaking down your favorite songs, stories and articles -> To practice reading, vocab and pronunciation!

3️⃣ Direct method (speaking only in Spanish for intermediate or advanced students) -> To strengthen your speaking and listening abilities

ALSO, i always explain grammar step by step and provide flashcards to remember vocabulary (based on the science proved method “Spaced repetition”).

I provide each of my students a personalized plan and homework based on their goals, needs and way of learning.

I am qualified Spanish teacher from Málaga (Spain). I lived and taught in London for over 14 years before moving back to Málaga in 2019. I gained my Certificate for Spanish Teaching to Adults in 2011 from International House School of Languages, and I also have a Cambridge CELTA (for English teaching) from the same school, completed in 2020. 

I have taught Spanish to business professionals, at University, to GCSE, A Level and DELE students, and to learners who just take lessons for travelling or self-improvement. My previous and current students all come from multiple backgrounds, nationalities, abilities and levels of Spanish, from total beginner to advanced.

In my classes you will start communicating by simple dialogues (simple if you're a beginner) from the first lesson. I will focus on improving your pronunciation (something often overlooked by teachers); teaching you the grammar gradually, so you don't feel overwhelmed; enriching your vocabulary prioritizing your needs and personal interests; and improving your fluency. My students often praise my patience, my well-planned lessons and the fact that they feel relaxed to learn in class. I welcome mistakes (and correct them of course!) as a sure sign that learning is happening. You do learn a lot from your mistakes. 

As a lifelong lover of the arts and a practicing artist, I like to give my classes a cultural flavour, sharing relevant information about music, films, books and art.

I have been a qualified teacher for 10 years, I am Spanish although I have lived in many different countries. My mother tongue is Spanish but I also speak English, Portuguese and a little French. At first I consider it important to hear what the apprentice is looking for and based on that, choose how the next lesson are going to take place. However I tend to make my lessons dynamic, interspersing conversations and various exercises including grammar, music and even books. I have a blackboard available to use if necessary and also headphones with a microphone to improve the audio quality.

I am Ivett from Mexico, a tutor passionate about languages and I have had the privilege of working as a Spanish tutor for all levels and ages, however these last two years I have focused my skills mainly on teaching children. My goal as a Spanish tutor is to provide my students necessary tools and confidence to communicate in Spanish effectively and fluently.

Experience: I have four years experience as a Spanish tutor but as a language tutor I have over 6 years of experience as an English tutor for absolute beginners teaching children, teenagers and adults.
