As a teacher, I use a communicative method, which aims to learn a second language using real life examples to learn to communicate in everyday situations. My classes are fun and effective. With me you will learn grammar, vocabulary and culture and we will focus on the conversation. Passionate about languages and intercultural exchanges, I have taught English and Spanish as foreign languages for over 15 years in Puerto Rico, France, and online.  I have had the opportunity to teach a wide variety of students from various backgrounds, integrating multicultural teaching resources to diversify learning styles.  I happen to believe that there is not one and only way of teaching or learning a foreign language.  Therefore, I adapt my lessons and methods to the students’ objectives, needs and interests.  My goal is always to offer an open, honest, communicative and supportive environment in which every student can feel motivated and appropriately challenged. 

ME AS A TEACHER AND TEACHING STYLE

I consider myself to be an easy person to talk to, patient and fun. I have experience teaching different kinds of students from kids to adults in both online and classroom setting (more than 1300 lessons online + 3 years of classroom setting experience). I have been implementing a combination of the Flipped classroom and communicative approach into the lessons and so far, I have seen  great improvement in my students' ability to communicate. 

TYPES OF LESSONS AND MATERIALS:

Flipped classroom programme: It'll especially boost your Speaking skills in an organised, structured and visual way. Materials will be sent every weekend (video lessons, PDFS, flashcards, grammar games...) and all skills will be covered. In class, we’ll try to practice what you learnt through speaking activities.

Flex lessons: They can be a mix of structure lesson (the one above) and flexible lessons. You can also choose practicing your Spanish through my interactive magazine (B1-B2) which includes: articles, videos, expressions ... In class we can do debates and discussions around these topics.

Conversation programme: Based on the books “Conversar en español I & II”. We’ll do lot of controlled speaking practice. The course also includes access to the Power Points , audio files and notes from the lesson.

My name is Maribel, I'm Colombian, and I'm a respiratory therapist and language teacher. Currently, I'm studying a master’s degree in Neuro-pedagogy. Thanks to all this knowledge, I use a methodology that is 100% personalized to your needs and desires. 

I am currently specializing in Spanish for travelers, this specialty is a little different from general Spanish, because here we look for a specific goal for your learning, such as a conference, a upcoming trip or simply learning specific terminology of your area.

Together we will set a goal, and in base on that we will create your curriculum, where you are the leader and I give you recommendations. 

 I implement mindfulness, and breathe work exercises to bring all our attention to the class and to favor the concentration and maximize the feeling of joy while learning. We will use online platforms, games, videos, and audios to create fun and interactive classes. I take the time to design the curriculum for each student because we all learn different.

Hi! My name is Vanessa, I am from Peru and I currently live in Washington State, in the US. Besides being fluent in Spanish and English, I speak Portuguese (C1) and French(B1).

I have been teaching online since 2018. Being a language learner myself, I know what the most common challenges are when learning a language and the most successful ways to overcome them.

In my opinion, the easiest and most memorable way of learning is having fun during the process. That is why I aim to provide you with a supportive, engaging and thought-provoking environment in which your oral production will take the lead role. Hello everyone! My name is Clara, I am a Spanish teacher from Madrid. I have 5 years of experience as Spanish, French and German teacher (face to face and online). I have taught students from different countries.

I prepare my own materials to adapt lessons to each student, and we use too the book "Aula internacional" for general Spanish courses.

I teach courses to pass DELE (Spanish exam) by using different teaching methods: I explain the grammar points needed for the exam, I provide vocabulary worksheets focus on DELE, and we practice different tests samples (you do not need to buy any preparation book, because I will provide you all the materials you will need to pass DELE, and these materials are based on the most famous DELE methods and DELE books such as ´Las claves del nuevo DELE` or ´Preparación al DELE`)

Also, I do conversational courses. I have two conversational courses: the first one is focused on general conversation about daily life, and the second one is focused on specific topics (technology, education, health, environment, Spanish culture, Spanish history...; depending on the students preferences).

My name is Esther and I live in Changwon, a beautiful city in the south of South Korea. I came to Asia to work in the 3D graphic design industry but end up falling in love with teaching languages and culture. So, we can talk about movies, books, history, traveling, food, sports, or any topic that is part of your life.

We can use videos, podcast, articles, music, books, newspapers, phases to start a conversation. We have endless topics. And I can help you with all mistakes you may have. If it is needed we can review grammar accordingly with your common mistakes. But do not forget that make mistakes is one of the best ways to improve. It is important for me that you feel in a safe space.

Hi everyone! I'm Mariángeles and I'm from Huelva, a city near Seville. I have been working as a private teacher for over 10 years now. I really enjoy meeting new people at language exchanges, travelling and learning about other cultures.

 I lived in Milan for two years and in Dublin for a year and a half. Both experiences were unforgettable and I would like to share them with you.
