Hello! I'm from Guatemala, the country of eternal spring.

I lived in Costa Rica for more than a year, and I have traveled all over Central America.  I love being a Spanish teacher because through my students I also learn about their culture and traditions.  And of course my desire is to help them learn this beautiful language.

My name is Lorena. I am from Barcelona, I have lived in UK and Japan and now I live in Asturias, in the north of Spain. I love cats, travelling, getting to know people from all over the world and, of course, languages. I speak Spanish, Catalan, English, Japanese and a little bit of French. So I can also give you some advice having being a language student myself. 

I have been teaching for more than 16 years and I have 9 years of experience as an online teacher. I love technology, it helps teachers to adapt our classes to students with different learning styles and it makes it easier to provide an immersion experience as well. I have specialised in teaching Spanish to English speakers, but I have also taught international students in Thailand, Granada (Spain) and, of course, online.

I really enjoy teaching all kind of levels: it is very rewarding seeing the progress of a beginner student that starts to be able to communicate in Spanish after a few well structured classes whereas more advance lessons allow to very interesting topics and a little bit more freedom in the structure of the lesson.

A little bit more about me: I was born and raised in Zaragoza, a small city in the North of Spain famous for its wine, food and a football team that used to be good. I have been a qualified teacher for 10 years, I am Spanish although I have lived in many different countries. My mother tongue is Spanish but I also speak English, Portuguese and a little French. I consider myself to be a very patience, disciplined, kind and creative person.

3️⃣ Direct method (speaking only in Spanish for intermediate or advanced students) -> To strengthen your speaking and listening abilities

ALSO, i always explain grammar step by step and provide flashcards to remember vocabulary (based on the science proved method “Spaced repetition”).

I provide each of my students a personalized plan and homework based on their goals, needs and way of learning.

My name is Cristina and I’m a Spanish / Catalan native speaker from Valencia (Spain).
