My name is Carlos, I am 38 years old and I live in Malaga, in the south of Spain. I am a Spanish teacher for foreigners, I love meeting people from different cultures and teach them my native language as well as Spanish culture. I consider myself a positive, cheerful and sociable person.

I am currently an online Spanish teacher, working with students from all over the world. I have been working as an online teacher for 4 years, but before coming into  this new world of online teaching I worked for 8 years for different Spanish schools for foreigners in the city where I live, Malaga. 

As a Spanish teacher, I’d say that I am a very dynamic and attentive teacher, I give special importance to communication, without leaving aside grammar. I think grammar is important as long as providing a communicative approach . Likewise I adapt to all the needs, levels and goals of the student. Every day I look for useful material and tools for my Spanish lessons, therefore I can help the student with very suitable material which I have been saving and using all this time with students for their proper learning . Within this material there are images, videos, grammar exercises, vocabulary, communicative activities ... etc.

The theory behind my teaching method is simple yet efficient:

• We set your goals and topics of interest: do you want to get more confident with your Spanish speaking family, friends or coworkers? Or you want to expand your business to potential clients through social media? Is Spanish literature and poetry something you’d like to make yours? You tell me, I find our way to it.
• We learn/ review the very basics of Spanish through active use. Get ready for some intense debates/ essay writing!
• We track your progress following the CEFRL guideline.
• We use news, articles, lyrics and other multimedia materials chosen specifically for you.

A bit about me: I love learning. From languages (Portuguese, French and Japanese) to music, philosophy... At one point I found that teaching my mother tongue, which I adore, makes me renew my perception of it, so it feels like a never ending adventure. That's why it has been my main focus these past five years, spending months building a method based on active use and understanding of a language that is very much alive all over the world. It is a great pleasure for me being able to say that I gained some good friends thanks to my profession, so what else can I ask for!

ME AS A TEACHER AND TEACHING STYLE

I consider myself to be an easy person to talk to, patient and fun. I have experience teaching different kinds of students from kids to adults in both online and classroom settings (more than 3000 lessons online + 3 years of classroom setting experience). I have been implementing a combination of the Flipped classroom and communicative approach into the lessons and so far, I have seen great improvement in my students' ability to communicate. My focus is to make you speak NATURAL and EVERYDAY Spanish, and understand Spanish speakers thanks to a system and a 30' routine.

TYPES OF LESSONS AND MATERIALS: 

🎥Action programme (B1-B2 LEVEL): we'll learn Spanish language and culture together thanks to the famous series called "AQUÍ NO HAY QUIEN VIVA". If you're an intermediate student this programme will specifically enhance your listening skills and will improve your performance in everyday situations so that you can connect effectively with locals.

📚Flipped classroom programme (A1-B2LEVEL): You'll be learning everyday language and culture during these sessions by affordable mini tasks that you can do in 30' a day. The programme will especially boost your speaking skills for everyday situations in an organized, structured and visual way. Materials will be sent every weekend (video lessons, PDFS, flashcards, grammar games...) and all skills will be covered. 

📚🎥Flex lessons: They can be a mix of structure lesson (the one above) and flexible lessons.

I am up to date with the newest learning theories, I use "Language Transfer" and "Comprehensible Input", so the materials are adapted to these methods, focusing on learning in context. Hello! I am Monica and I am a certified Spanish teacher with more than 7 years experience teaching Spanish to people from all over the world.

I have many hours of teaching experience, as from 2016 to 2019 I worked in a Spanish academy in my home city, Medellín, where I worked 40 hours per week teaching Spanish as a foreign language; I had 1-to-1 sessions and also groups of up to 6 students; the classes were amazing and I loved the experience since I could meet people from a range of cultures, thanks to that I realised that there are extraordinary people from every corner of the world.

Since 2019 I have been working as an online Spanish teacher. I am studying a master's degree and dedicating free time to my favourite hobbies: Cooking, salsa dancing and swimming.

My lessons are planned to be enjoyable and comfortable. I use the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages and I love getting to know my students well as it allows me to tailor each lesson to their personality and way of learning; every lesson you have with me will be carefully prepared for you, I hope to meet you soon!

My training as a Spanish instructor is based on studies of Spanish grammar and using the communicative approach methodology that is based on practical and simple activities that help develop skills such as oral expression, listening comprehension, writing with dictation and reading as well. Of course phonetics is included. Each class focuses on the specific needs of each student.

In each class I emphasize oral practice to help students feel confident to express themselves naturally in specific situations.

In some cases, the grammatical structure is included in a simplified and dynamic way, and the grammatical concepts may or may not be used in our class, depending on the interests or preferences of each student.

Also, I like to share the history and culture of my country and Latin America through the practice of Spanish as a natural practice for intermediate and advanced Spanish.

Hello everyone! My name is Dionisio. I have been teaching Spanish since 2008 with students from all over the world. I also have experience teaching my language and culture in other countries such as the United States.  

My classes are dynamic and communicative so that from the first moment you can find a space of confidence to express yourself in Spanish. After knowing your interests and your level of Spanish, I adapt my classes to your learning needs. Generally, I like to organize the session around a grammar point, or a vocabulary topic that helps us to structure the class, and helps you to memorize its content. I like to include different resources in my classes such as conversation on different topics, internet articles, grammar worksheets, audios, videos and kahoots that will help you develop your skills to learn Spanish in a real context. I love teaching and learning languages, and in addition to English and Spanish, I speak French and Catalan.

A little bit more about me: although I was born and raised in Zaragoza (Spain), I developed my professional career in Barcelona. Currently, I live on a small island in the Mediterranean Sea. In addition to teaching Spanish, I am passionate about theater and writing, activities to which I also dedicate myself professionally as a stage director, playwright and teacher.

My name is Cristina and I’m a Spanish / Catalan native speaker from Valencia (Spain).

- I hold a BA degree in Translation Studies from Valencia University and a MA degree in Legal Translation (University of Alicante). I have also a postgraduate certificate in Modern Foreign Languages Teaching from Canterbury Christ Church University. Apart from my university degrees, I hold certificates in teaching Spanish as a foreign language and in professional proofreading from European University of Madrid. And if that is not enough for you I am also an examiner for the Cervantes Institute, and that means that I  know perfectly how DELE exam works ;).

- I have 4 years of experience in teaching Spanish as a second language in a secondary school and a private company in Italy and another year of teaching experience in two Secondary schools in England. I also have 3 years of experience teaching adults in online platforms (+1500 hours taught).

- I use a communicative methodology. That is, I analyse your needs to create tailored and challenging lessons with the best resources to communicate and write clearly and effectively.

My name is Samuel and I live in Madrid. In 2013 I got my Spanish teacher Certificate and since then I have been teaching Spanish in many language schools -in person and the last two years mainly online due to the pandemic. I have also taught group classes and individual one to one classes in companies. I have also helped many students to pass DELE exams.

I have a Philosophy Degree as well from Universidad Complutense. Madrid. I also really love to talk about a wide range of topics. I enjoy listening and learning from my students. Everyone has interesting things to say. With me,  you will be talking about things you like without noticing you are doing it in Spanish.

I can share with you many books, videos, infographics, newspaper articles etc in pdf format so that we have always fresh and juicy material to discuss. These last ones are a fantastic complement because sometimes the standard books for learning might be designed –what is fine- for generic purposes. Pdf files are included in the price.

I have taught students from every corner of the world and from  very different  backgrounds. I love learning from my students while I am teaching them.

I speak very fluent English so even if your knowledge of Spanish is 0 don’t be afraid. You will always be comfortable in my classes. I am also learning French so I haven’t forgotten how does it feel to be a beginner ;)
