If you are looking for a Japanese tutor who boosts your speaking skill, I am a good choice.
You will open the door towards a new world when you participate in my class.
During the class you are going to get a lot of questions, since I believe the fastest way to learn a second language is “speak a lot “.
I will take you out of your comfort zone and you will find your strengths and weaknesses through the class.
It will help you to build up your “Japanese Brain“ so you will be able to practice by yourself even outside of the classroom.
I am looking forward to seeing highly motivated students! I am a very friendly person with an abundance of patience.
And I am happy to work at your pace.
The door is open for everyone so why not give it a shot now!

Hello everyone! Thanks for visiting my profile page :)
Are you interested in Japanese Culture? Would you like to start learning a new language? Let's get started!!
【About myself】
I live in Canada for about 9 years and I teach Japanese as a private tutor for about 8 years. It's been a pleasure to meet people from all over the world, study Japanese together, and share Japanese culture.
【How do we study?】
I use a method called "Active learning". You need to study and prepare before the lesson in order to involve in the learning process actively. In that way, you can learn the language effectively. I have been learning English for over 15 years, and all I can say is the key to success is repetition and being continuous!
【Would it be possible to speak Japanese fluently?】
Many people ask me how long will it take to speak Japanese fluently. My answer is it depends on you. If you engage with Japanese more time every day, you will acquire it faster. There are many ways to engage with your learning language. It might be like watching your favorite Japanese shows or writing a diary every day in Japanese, and so on. Find a fun way to learn Japanese with me!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I accept all levels of students so if you're a beginner, I will teach you from your level of comfort.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask me at the trial lesson!

About me
Hello I'm Saori. Nice to meet you! I am from Tokyo. but I've been living in Canada for about 4 years. After graduating from my university I moved to SK in Canada, and lately moved to BC in Canada.
Teaching experience
I have 4 years of teaching experience online, and taught at a Japanese Sunday school in Canada. Over 4 years I have taught people who are complete beginner, intermediate, advanced, from the ages of 5 to 80 from many different countries such as Canada, America, China, England, France, Italy and South Korea etc.
I am very patient, friendly and cheerful. My teaching strategy focuses on making students feel comfortable during my lessons, I want you to feel okay when you make a mistake. Making mistakes is an important step to improve language skills.
About my lessons
Depending on students' individual needs, I can give a strict, structured lesson or a relaxed, conversational lesson. If you are a beginner student, I can always use English to teach. If you want me to only Japanese to teach, I’ll speak only Japanese to you. If you are not sure your level or what part you need to improve, I can find out what you should do to improve your skills. I am very flexible, and respect student’s opinions. If my teaching pace is too fast or too slow, please don’t hesitate to tell me, I can always change the speed as well. I’ll provide homework or a test if it’s needed.

About Me
こんにちは!賢哉(けんや)です。 Konnichiwa! My name is Kenya ^^ I'm originally from Yokohama. I have lived in 7 different countries (Japan, Canada, USA, Mexico, Peru, Brazil, and Spain). I've taught myself 3 foreign languages (English, Spanish, and Portuguese) and I'm trying to learn another. I love traveling, animals, thriller & Sci-Fi movies, board games, doing a little bit of sports, and meeting new people.
I have 5 years of experience as Japanese teacher (face to face & online) with a certification after 420-hour training in the official language school in Tokyo. I am specialized in teaching basic and intermediate but I also give conversation lessons to advanced level. Knowing how to speak 4 languages helps me understand the different troubles a student can have when learning a new language, and also how to figure out the solution.
My lessons & teaching style
For basic students, I prepare my own materials to adapt lessons to each student. I normally use "Genki" or "Marugoto" for the basic lessons. I try to use Japanese as much as possible. However, I'll also use a communicable language when necessary. And my ideal teaching style is to make you think what you have to say with the words and grammars that you have learned or already know, and each lesson you will add something to it.
►Maybe you already know but learning Japanese is FUN! ♪( ´▽`)
►Don't hesitate to contact me anytime and I'll be more than happy to help you out!

We’re confident you’ll love learning via LanguaTalk. We're trusted by students all over the world because we're transparent. We ask students to rate each lesson, and we display reviews on tutors’ profiles.
99.8% of lesson ratings are 5 stars. Why? Because unlike other platforms, we accept only the top 10% of tutor applications.
To see our full FAQs or get help from our friendly team, click the '?' in the corner of the screen. You can also watch students talking about their experiences learning via LanguaTalk below.
1-on-1 lessons are perhaps the best way to improve speaking skills, and because of this many students use LanguaTalk to learn to speak Japanese fluently. That said, some people have other, more specific goals. Let your tutor know what your goals are and they'll tailor the lessons to your personal needs. Most tutors can help with any of the following:
Most of the Japanese tutors on our site are able to teach students of all levels. When you click on a tutor's profile you'll see if certain levels are not supported. For example, certain tutors cannot teach complete beginners.
Likewise, you can also see on the tutor's profile whether they're suitable for all ages. Lessons are sometimes taken via LanguaTalk to support school/college studies. Usually, the tutor will be able to customise the lessons to follow the material and topics covered in the student's exams. Note that as per our Terms & Conditions, students who are under 18 must get permission from a legal guardian before booking.
New to LanguaTalk? You'll have one credit for a free trial. Most tutors offer a trial for free. If they do not, they’ll offer a trial session at a discount compared to their usual hourly rate.
Trial sessions are 30 minutes. They allow you to assess whether the tutor is a good fit for you, and get a feel for learning online. The tutor will assess your level and aim to understand your needs and interests so that they can customise any lessons you decide to take. You'll be encouraged to speak in Japanese as much as possible, but of course you can speak in English too! Book a trial today to see if taking Japanese lessons on Zoom/Skype works well for you.
After your session, if you feel that the tutor isn’t quite right for you, you can simply book a trial with someone else.
Lessons are taught 1-on-1 so that you receive your tutor’s full attention and can make fast progress. Communicating via video call, you’ll be able to talk to your tutor and share learning materials as if you were in the same room.
The tutors vary in terms of their teaching methods, resources, experience, and personalities. So we suggest you look at several profiles to choose the best tutor for you. Whichever tutor you pick, they'll aim to tailor the lessons to your individual needs.
The vast majority of students take 55-minute lessons. But some tutors also provide the option of 30-minute lessons. If they do, you’ll see this noted on their profile (below their pricing and above the ‘Buy Lessons’ button).
55-minute lessons are recommended for most students. In general, we only suggest considering 30-minute lessons if they’re for your child, or you have an intermediate level and only want conversation practice.
The beauty of taking lessons online is that you can learn anytime, anywhere. To see tutors who are likely to fit your weekly schedule, use the availability filter at the top. Then when you see a tutor you like, check their profile calendar to make sure their time slots work for you. Some tutors have limited availability as they already have lots of students.
We want students to have an exceptional learning experience on LanguaTalk, so we only accept the very best tutor applications. Though we consider qualifications and experience, we place equal value on communication skills, personality and reviews from previous students. Almost all of the tutors are native speakers of the language they teach, and they can speak English too.
Each tutor is unique - they have different backgrounds, strengths, teaching methods and personalities. So we suggest you browse several profiles to find the right tutor for you.
Our booking system is designed to be easy to use. You can see tutors' available slots in your local time zone. If you choose to book lessons with a tutor, you'll be able to buy them one at a time, or purchase in bulk with a volume discount. You can pay securely by card on our website.
You can manually add bookings to your personal calendar, or if you use Google calendar, you can add bookings automatically with our syncing feature. You'll also be able to receive email reminders to help ensure you don't forget to turn up.
You can reschedule or cancel lessons in a couple of clicks. Please note that this can be done up to 24 hours before the lesson time. We have this policy to be fair to tutors, who cannot replace lessons at the last minute and need some form of income protection.
Japanese lessons via Zoom/Skype tend to be cheaper than face-to-face because the tutor doesn't need to travel. Online Japanese tutors may cost between $14 to $50 per hour, but be aware that very cheap tutors on certain websites may lack experience. On LanguaTalk, Japanese tutors typically charge between $14 and $40 per hour.
Of course, receiving Japanese tutoring via Zoom or Skype is not the cheapest way to learn; you could learn via a free app instead. But if you're serious about learning, nothing beats 1-on-1 Japanese lessons with a great teacher.
Most tutors offer both Skype and Zoom as options for the lessons. If they only offer one of these, this will be stated on their profile. Both tools are free, easy to use and perfect for language learning. They allow you to do everything you would do in a physical classroom: speak, listen, read, write, and share learning materials. Your tutor will typically write corrections directly in the chat area so that you can later revise everything you’ve learnt.
Most Japanese tutors using Skype/Zoom also use other technologies and resources to enhance the learning experience, for example Google Docs (for real-time collaboration), videos, and PowerPoint slides. If you're unable to take the Japanese lessons via Zoom or Skype, please contact our support team and we’ll get in touch with the tutor you're interested in to see if they're able to use an alternative video technology, such as Google Meet.
Students sometimes feel unsure about learning online because they think it won't be as effective as learning face-to-face. But usually when they try it, they find that the experience is almost the same and they often build a strong relationship with their tutor.
Once you start a video call with your chosen Japanese tutor on Zoom/Skype, you’ll be able to communicate with them as if you were in the same room. They’ll usually also share learning resources with you (using Google Docs, YouTube etc.) and you’ll be able to collaborate in real-time.
There is no 'best way' to learn a language - it depends on many factors, such as your needs, level and budget. If you can't afford to take 1-on-1 Japanese lessons on Zoom/Skype, you can use a free app like Duolingo to build your vocab. And to improve your listening skills, you can try watching TV and listening to podcasts in Japanese. But to learn how to actually speak a language, you need to talk to a native speaker on a regular basis and receive accurate feedback so that you improve. If you want to make fast progress, it's best to take private lessons that are tailored to your personal needs by an experienced teacher.
