About me

Bonjour ! My name is Adeline & I'm a full-time French teacher. I also speak English fluently and a bit of Spanish. I live in France, my home country, and I like to do conversational classes to teach my language, and sometimes a bit of my culture, to foreigner students. If you want to know a little bit more about me, here are the things I'm passionate about: cooking, gardening, video games, nature, travels and other cultures. I also enjoy learning new things therefore do not hesitate to tell me everything about your very own interests :)

My lessons

Whether you are here to learn French from scratch, or to improve that language, you've come to the right person. As I can speak English and Spanish, don't worry if your French is not completely fluent: we will work on it together. I learned my other languages while traveling so I'm very aware about the fact that the best way to learn a language is by practicing it everyday in casual conversations.
I usually like to start with a first conversation to evaluate your French level and your goals. We will then decide together what kind of class, duration and frequency best suits your needs, level and availability. Then I will adapt the way I speak and teach to your personal needs. 
We will spend the majority of our time together having conversations in French and, if you want, I also can provide formal lessons with exercises & oral or written comprehension.

Bonjour, my name is Marion, I am 36 and I am French.

Being a native French speaker and fluent in English, passionate about languages and having been down the path of learning a new language myself, I understand the struggles that a new language learner might have and I know how to be successful, whatever level you decide you want to achieve. 

All the lessons are ONLINE, through Zoom (or Skype). I use various contents such as workbooks, audio documents, and videos and I am trying to keep up to date with the constant flow of new learning material to give you the best experience. I aim to make learning French as fun as possible while matching your needs and reaching your goals. After each lesson, I would send you an email with a recap of what had been covered (+ materials), what you can do at home to practise - only if you want - and what we would cover in the next lesson so you know exactly where you are at.

My background: After obtaining my Baccalauréat in Economic and Social Sciences, I studied for 5 years to become an osteopath in France. In 2016 I left my home country to spend one year working and travelling in New Zealand. I spent another two years in Australia and in 2019 I decided to move to the UK.

According to your level (starter or advanced), I adapt my method as following:

Starters : I use a particular book that helps you to work on all the aspects of the language at the same time (phonetics, grammar, vocabulary, reading) and helps structuring the courses

Advanced : I practice conversation with you about more or less complex subjects to increase your vocabulary and to correct the remaining imperfections

Of course, I always adapt my method to your individual situation

About me : I was born in Switzerland. My mother tongue is French, which I always speak with my relatives and my friends. I also speak Italian as I grew up in the Italian-speaking region of Switzerland (Ticino) and I still live there

I also speak English, a bit of Serbian and Russian

My name is Marina. I have been a French teacher for five years. I taught in Ireland, England, Spain, and Ecuador, with students of all ages and levels, and in settings both informal and formal. I'm new to LanguaTalk but I've been teaching French online for a year as well.

I offer different forms of teaching, depending on your level and preferred learning methods. For example, a beginner who needs structure might benefit from lessons from a written method that mixes grammar, vocabulary, and listening, speaking, reading and writing exercises, while a more advanced student would prefer us to focus on conversation.

Hello Everyone, 

Languages are a passion of mine, I am currently working on language 5 and 6. Because I've been learning other languages  I am very familiar with the difficulties my students can have and which methods are efficient. 

My first objective is for my student to develop the skills to speak and understand French so that they can be independant consulting French content at home. My classes are very relaxed and I try to have a good time while I teach. My classes are tailored to each student's level. 

• For beginners: we work on the elements of the sentence, conjugating verbs, prononciation exercises, we read basic text and we start writing and speaking in French. we also introduce the idea of daily practice.
• For intermediates we work on more advanced grammatical concepts and conjugating with more tenses, we work with audio and written format (about 50/50 technique and practice)
• For advanced students we usually do more conversation based exercises, prior to the class I'll send a podcast, documentary, youtube video, movie extracts and more and the student have to express their thoughts, their critic or commentary on the topic, on my hand I will ask questions to keep the conversation going. We can also do interview prep, review of essays written in French etc.

 I also do give a little bit of homework.

I started learning English in elementary school and had Spanish classes for two years at university. I also speak Italian as I currently live in Italy.

Hello, how are you? My name is Sylvain, I'm 30 and from Belgium. I currently live in São Paulo, Brazil with my wife. I have a degree in management, but I've been working as a French teacher since I arrived in Brazil. 
I did a university exchange in Chile, which helped me learn Spanish.  I'm a curious person and I'm interested in almost every topic, but I particularly like talking about the economy, politics, technology and cultural differences between countries.After arriving in Brazil, an opportunity came up for me to work as a French teacher in a school for adults, where I worked for the first two years. After that, I decided to become self-employed and concentrate on one-to-one, in-company and online teaching. Today, I have students of all levels with different objectives (work, travel, pleasure, French language maintenance, diplomacy etc.) and I love it when they are satisfied and see themselves progressing. On top of that, I find it very interesting to be able to talk to people with different profiles, backgrounds and histories.


We will define the material to be used according to your specific needs. We'll work with a variety of materials such as:
-French language methods (Défi, Tout va bien, Alter Ego, etc.)

-Grammar/vocabulary books covering general themes or more specific to your objectives 

-Recent articles, videos and audios on current topics

-Speaking or conversational exercices

In addition, I try to stimulate the student to talk about different themes that are important to him/her.

I’ve been a professional French teacher since 2007. I taught French in various language schools, for big companies and at university. Since 2020, I’ve been teaching exclusively online. These experiences have allowed me to be in contact with different types of students, from children to adults, from beginner to proficiency, for leisure or business purposes or to prepare for the official French certifications (I’m also a DELF examiner). Therefore, I’m used to adapt to the needs and learning objectives of my students. This means that I can choose the right teaching material so that we can practice and progress according to your own goals and interests. 

Languatalk is perfect to learn a language in a very efficient, funny and motivating way. My teaching method is based on oral communication and pronunciation, which doesn’t mean that you won’t learn and practice grammar and structures which are necessary to express oneself properly. Through the material provided such as books, newspapers, videos, you will also be improving your reading and listening skills. We can also work your writing if you need or want to.

Hi guys! It's Rita here :)

I am an enthusiastic French teacher (I also teach English, Russian, Spanish and German). So, your mother tongue can be any of these languages  as I   speak and teach in all of these languages. Learning grammar is only one part of learning a language, the other part is practicing, and of course having as much fun as possible during the learning process! I work with a book to give your learning a structure. However, I also choose interesting videos, audio files and conversation topics so that you get immersed into the language as much as possible. 

My focus lies on the right pronunciation, motivating you and showing you that learning a language can be lots of fun. I have lived and worked two years in the South of France and have a German diploma in translation and interpretation for French, German and English. I speak 7 languages and 5 of them fluently. I want to show you that it is possible to learn a new language fast and with fun. I usually need 3-4 weeks in order to speak a new language fluently. How do I do it? Through as much immersion into the language as possible: reading books, comics, watching cartoons, films, YouTube videos, listening to songs, and speaking to natives in real life and online.
