Hello, I'm Ruth, and I am from Peru. I live in Cusco, the city of the Incas, where Machu Picchu is located. I'd love to be your future Spanish tutor!  Likewise, I've been teaching for a while, working with a diverse range of students. This experience has helped me understand how individuals learn at different stages of life. Also, my knowledge of English allows me to connect with students and help them grasp the nuances of the Spanish language. I really enjoy teaching and supporting students to master my native language, of which I am very passionate.

Tried the 9-5 corporate life in the States—hated it. ❌💼 So, I got trained to teach Spanish online in a fun, dynamic way, and it's been an incredible six-year journey! I prefer to teach grammar with  examples because they contain chunks of grammar that we will later encounter in other phrases and grammar constructions. You will create your examples and incorporate the grammar rules. We will learn grammar from real-life scenarios where people communicate naturally their thoughts, following a communicative learning approach. We will also work on Google Sheets, which you will always have access to and where we can work on and save all of our learning sessions.

I will send you homework regularly just so you can work on your Spanish in between every session that we have. 

I encourage you to focus on the process rather than the outcome. IIf we trust the process, we make progress! Falling in love with the journey of language acquisition is the most rewarding path by far. 

So far I've learned that certain teaching methods are best suited to specific students. Each student has their own preferred learning style and unique goals, and yours will be a guide for me to personalize your lessons.

Hello! I am Monica and I am a certified Spanish teacher with more than 7 years experience teaching Spanish to people from all over the world.

I have many hours of teaching experience, as from 2016 to 2019 I worked in a Spanish academy in my home city, Medellín, where I worked 40 hours per week teaching Spanish as a foreign language; I had 1-to-1 sessions and also groups of up to 6 students; the classes were amazing and I loved the experience since I could meet people from a range of cultures, thanks to that I realised that there are extraordinary people from every corner of the world.

Since 2019 I have been working as an online Spanish teacher. I am studying a master's degree in London, where in the evenings I teach Spanish to adults.

My lessons are planned to be enjoyable and comfortable. I use the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages and I love getting to know my students well as it allows me to tailor each lesson to their personality and way of learning; every lesson you have with me will be carefully prepared for you, I hope to meet you soon!

I have been teaching for about 10 years and learning languages for even longer, so I know what it's like to learn a new language. And exactly because of that, I'm a very patient and understanding teacher :)
