Our lessons for beginner follow a sequential program, each building on the last for optimal learning. By the end, you'll:

• Master fundamental Spanish structures and grammar.
• Command the top 1000 words, using them fluently.
• Develop a natural and clear Spanish pronunciation.

Periodic written and spoken assessments will ensure we stay on course. 

I will create flashcards for you to review the notes of each lesson and provide detailed homework to ensure you use your time effectively outside our lessons too!
 

¡Hola! My name is María and I'm from Mexico. 

I have 3 years of teaching experience. I majored in Languages from Universidad de las Américas Puebla and I obtained a certification to teach Spanish as a foreign language. My classes use a blended methodology that incorporates grammar and communication activities in a laid-back and dynamic way. I have hand picked or created all the materials according to the needs of my students and I often use resources like audios, videos and games to make the lesson more interactive. My main goal is to help my students feel comfortable expressing themselves and learn at their own pace.

My favorite part of language teaching is getting to know the cultures and interests of my students. I'd be happy to work on a plan that fits your needs. You don't need any previous experience learning Spanish or a foreign language. Since I am also a doctoral student I only have a limited number of hours. I'm a 26 year old, Biochemist so I'm a native speaker in Spanish who specializes in biological, chemical and medicinal Spanish. But I'm not just a scientist, I'm also a teacher.
