Hi, I'm Amandine, a native French from the beautiful region of Bordeaux and a language coach here for adults and teenagers.
My main focus in creating classes for you is to understand your learning process to help you be autonomous as soon as possible. AND to make it FUN and ENJOYABLE!
I have helped people of ALL LEVELS and dozens of nationalities. I have prepared people for their DELF / DALF / TEF / TEFAQ. I have coached people for job interviews in French, university students needing help with essays and presentations... You name it!
So whatever your profile is, we will tailor the class to YOUR needs and goals. The method used will therefore depend on YOU. The tools we can/will use are:
- conversation (where we will work together on different linguistic points while discussing and exchanging on our respective cultures);
- activities focused on listening comprehension (using videos, songs, podcasts, etc.);
- reading, written comprehension and pronunciation exercises (with articles, texts, song lyrics, etc.);
- grammar lessons and exercises;
- written production...
But as I said, the number 1 condition for learning a language is to gain the necessary self-confidence, to be relaxed and open in order to find the courage to express yourself. The goal is simply to COMMUNICATE!
Get onboard your French journey with me!
See you soon!

I've been teaching online since 2016, having in the previous 15 years worked with young people, adults and foreigners of all levels.
In my opinion, enthusiasm, patience, humour and understanding are the keys for efficient learning. I also like to have discussions, and give my students readings and writing exercises.
If you have an intermediate level, we can speak about any topic that interests you. My interests include ecology and self sufficiency, architecture, history, geopolitics, philosophy, Asian food, horses, and nature.

Hi, I'm Sabrina, I was born in Bayonne but my studies in French Literature and French as a Foreign Language led me to live and work in different places and countries, to many students of all ages and levels !
That's why I would be delighted to teach my French language, whether you need it for your work, your studies, to pass your DELF/DALF examens, to brush up your grammar or to master the "art de la conversation". I always tailor my lesson, based on your level, your goals and your interests.
As a creative person, I try to use that part of my personality to make our lesson fun yet efficient, in a relaxed atmosphere where you feel confident to speak and explore French. This is the time where you have the ability to speak French as much as possible.
I’m always in search for new material (articles, songs, podcasts, games…) to work on, trying as much as possible to use authentic material and any tools (Google Docs, screenshare, slides…) that seem adequate to learn the language French people actually speak.
I've got loads of texbooks as well, where I like to extract interesting texts or drills to make you practise when it seems relevant to do so.
What's important to me is that each online lesson is a place and time where you can feel confident to speak in French, in a relaxed atmosphere where you can explore our beautiful language and culture.
I am a very easy-going, passionate and good-natured person, keen in many different subjects and aspects of our life. When I'm not teaching, I like reading, watching movies, writing, walking, traveling, practising yoga, doing theater and struggling on my guitar ! (To only name a few)
Looking forward to meeting you on this platform and learning together !
Au plaisir !

Hi guys! It's Rita here :)
I am an enthusiastic French teacher (I also speak fluently and teach English, Russian, Spanish and German). So, your mother tongue can be all of the languages mentioned as I can speak and teach in all of these languages. Learning grammar is only one part of learning a language, the other part is to practice, practice, practice, and of course having as much fun as possible while doing so! I work with a book to give your learning a structure. However, I also choose interesting videos, audio files and conversation topics so that you get immersed into the language as much as possible.
My focus lies on the right pronunciation, to motivate you and to show you that learning a language can be lots of fun. I have lived and worked two years in the South of France and have a German diploma in translation and interpretation for French and English. I speak 7 languages and 5 of them fluently. I want to show you that it is possible to learn a new language fast and with fun. I usually need 3-4 weeks in order to speak a new language fluently. How I do it? Through as much immersion into the language as possible: reading books, comics, watching cartoons, films, YouTube videos, listening to songs, and speaking to natives in real life and online.
My students have a high success rate as I have over 15 years of teaching experience (I started tutoring the younger kids in English when I was at college, and worked as a language coach during my studies). See you very soon in your next class! Sending you lots of love, Rita

UPDATE 20/21: The students I have tutored for the DELF and DALF exams have all successfully passed the exams; KS3: A / A+; GCSE: A+
Bonjour, my name is Marion, I am 31 years old and I am French.
Being a native French speaker and fluent in English, passionate about languages and having been down the path of learning a new language myself, I understand the struggles that a new language learner might have and I know how to be successful, whatever level you decide you want to achieve.
All the lessons are ONLINE, through Zoom or Skype and will last 55mn (or 25mn for half an hour). I use various various contents such as: workbooks, audio documents, videos and I am trying to keep up to date with the constant flow of new learning material to give you the best experience. My aim is to make learning French as fun as possible, while matching your needs and reaching your goals. After each lesson, I would send you an email with a recap of what had been covered (+ materials), what you can do at home to practise - only if you want - and what we would cover on the next lesson so you know exactly where you are at.
My background: After obtaining my Baccalauréat in Economic and Social Sciences, I studied 5 years to become an osteopath in France. In 2016 I left my home country to spend one year working and traveling in New-Zealand. I spent another two years in Australia and in 2019 I decided to move to the UK.

I think I am the right teacher for you!
I use methods I learned during my Master's to create my own lessons based on your needs and level! I can teach to many publics as I taught children when I was a supervisor in a middle school and adults as I was a volunteer for Ukrainians arriving in France because of the war. Also, this year, I managed to teach foreign children aged between 11 to 15. They were complete beginners in French, but I also had to teach them how to hold a pen and write, which was completely new for me !
I'm the type of teacher who likes creativity, laughing, and communicating with my students. I will do everything I can so you can have a good time with me, without noticing that you are learning and improving in French !
So.... are you choosing me ?!

Hello! Do you need to "practice" to improve your French?! :)
I am Anthony. I am here to help anyone who would like to learn French with no pressure, step by step. I am a native French speaker and I already guided people to learn French, like my Indian friends I met in Bangalore during an internship in 2019. I also helped friends of friends who needed French support. The experience that gives me the love of teaching is when I was helping children to learn English, even very young kids to learn speaking French. So I am happy to help you if you need support and guidance. I invite you to contact me to see if my vibes are aligned with what you are looking for.
About me, I would say that I love dancing and practicing all kinds of "movement". It is in my blood now. I am a breathwork and meditation practitioner in my daily life. I am also a breathwork facilitator which is my main activity. I am a human and I love listening to beautiful music (Lofi, Hanz Zimmer and many more), watching series, eating spicy Indian meals, some cheese (I am French ^^), and also having a good time with friends and family. Then, I feel like an explorator and I am always curious about people's stories as well as nature and Planet Earth mysteries. Finally, I am also passionate about reading and writing. Maybe you are also writing your dreams each morning?!
About my classes, I can give you an example. One German person is learning French with me and during the class I write what the person is saying, so I can send a document at the end for reading and improving some details.

Hello !
My name is Florence. I come from France and I am an experienced French teacher for foreigners, certified by the Alliance Française de Paris and hold a Master’s degree in FLE (french for foreigners) to teach you my mother tongue. I have experience teaching a wide range of adults from all continents and at all levels.
But also ... before starting to teach French full-time and because of a double technical and commercial training, I worked for a long time in marketing and international trade for companies in various sectors of activities: electrical construction, car accessories, shoes… I also created my own business to distribute my creations of costume jewelry.
I’m originally from the East of France, a small town near the Swiss border, and I've been around a lot! I have lived in different regions of France: from North to South, from East to West, from Paris to Nice, from Lyon to Albi. After living in Valparaiso, Chile, I returned to Europe and then settled in Spain for almost 15 years. Today, I live in Alicante with my family.
I hope to meet you very soon and share very pleasant sessions with you. Please note that I made the choice to teach online only to ADULTS.

Hi, I'm Lucie and I would be glad to help you learn French!
I've been teaching French for some years now and I'm myself passionate about languages. As a matter of fact I speak six languages (English, Spanish, Portuguese, French, a little bit of Dutch and Italian). I know how hard and challenging it can be to learn a new language, and I strongly believe that practice is key to improve and learn a new language. So, be ready to speak with me! Of course, we will go through grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation, and I'll structure my lessons according to your needs (without forgetting the practice). I also believe that learning should be fun because when you're having fun, things get easier and you will feel more confident.
So, ready to learn?

Hi ! I am Charlotte !
I am a native french speaker and a graduated French teacher !
If you want to learn french or to improve your french skills, you are in the right place 😉
What I teach 📚:
How I teach 👩🏫:
Usually, during the first lesson, we will talk about yourself, what you want to learn in French and why. This way I can understand your goals and adapt my teaching.
I like to create lessons around a theme, this way I can gather different activities around it. For example, we can start with a few questions about the theme, then gather vocabulary and read a text or watch a video about it. Afterward you can have a few questions to answer about the doct but we can also discuss about it, this way we will work on your comprehension of French language and on your oral expression. I also like to implement speaking games during the lesson so you can reemploy what you have learnt during the session.
Resources 📝:
I usually use Google Docs and/or Powerpoint for my lessons, according to what I am going to teach (for example if I need to share a digital media with you, I will put it on your personal Google Doct).
Qualifications 💼:
I graduated my FLE master's degree, I also have a BA degree in French language and literature and a BA degree in English language, literature, foreign and regional civilisation.

I come from Nancy in the north-east of France. I lived one year in Spain and I have been living in Dublin for 4 years.
I studied Performing Art and film studies in France, Spain and in Ireland. I am passionate about travelling, discovering new cultures and art.
I started teaching French part-time 4 years ago when I moved to Dublin. I used to help Irish teenagers to prepare their French exams (Leaving Cert - Junior Cert) and students at the University (preparing oral exams, proof-reading essays). I have been teaching French online since April 2020 and in person in some languages school in Dublin since February 2021.
I teach French to all levels (beginners to advanced) and all ages (kids, teenagers, adults). I can help you to improve your French skills (grammar, vocabulary, French culture, oral fluency) , to prepare your essays, oral presentation, job interview … With kids I usually use a power point to learn basics vocabulary and sentences, and make French games with them. I am also preparing at the moment the French diploma to teach French to foreigners (DAEFLE).
I am flexible to your needs, level and way of learning. I use videos and articles based on your interests and encourage practising conversation. I also often relate the lessons to French culture as film, music, politics, literature ... I can provide grammar lessons and exercises.

Hello and welcome to my page !
My name is Célia, a native French teacher living in Germany. I have graduated of my master of French as a Foreign Language [teaching French to foreigners] in 2020 at the university of Paul-Valéry in Montpellier, and I became a DELF (A1-B2) corrector in 2022. I grew up in a small village next to Montpellier, and I have been living in Germany for the past 3 years.
During my master’s degree, I learned how to create didactic unit (lessons), exams, and how to use the CEFR (common European Framework of Reference for Languages). I have been teaching French online for the last 3 years to students ranging from level A1 to level B2, and students of all ages: children, teenagers, and adults. Whether you need some help with preparing an exam, want to build on your knowledge or just want to practice your oral skills, I am more than happy to help you!
During our first class, I will ask you: why you want to learn French, what are your goals, what are your interests, if you want to study one aspect of the language more than another, what is your current level of French etc. Our first conversation during our trial lesson will allow me to get an idea of your level and to prepare a plan for our next lessons. The resources I use are diverse: oral comprehension from the media, text comprehensions [studies of books, articles, extracts of text], grammar exercises etc. The resources are adapted to your level and your objectives. Most of the resources will be provided to you. I also provide a lesson file and homework for each lesson (- ^ ▽ ^ -).
My teaching method is mainly based on communicative and action-oriented approaches. My goal is to involve students as much as possible in their learning, to encourage them to express themselves as much as possible in French in a pleasant and relaxed atmosphere. I am aware that learning a language is not easy. Sometimes you fear making mistakes, but that's part of the learning process. I am here to help you gain self-confidence, encourage you and guide you on this journey of learning a language.
I am passionate about civilization and languages. Likewise, I love to share my culture with foreigners as I get to know theirs. I am sure we can find many interesting topics to discuss and build up your French skills quickly!
A bientôt!

Bonjour! Whether you are a relatively new French speaker, someone looking to polish their skills or simply want to opportunity to speak French, I’m excited to meet you.
What do I offer? I offer French conversations and classes to improve speaking skills, pronunciation and vocabulary so that students become comfortable with the language and have fluid conversations with real people. You won’t have to say ‘comme ci comme ça’ ever again!
I aim to improve your comprehension and practice of the language, as I believe this is the best way to learn. To steer our conversations, I will consider your goals and craft lesson content to meet your needs, levels and objectives; these are aspects we will define together during our trial lesson. Although I do not set homework (unless you would like some of course!), I love to keep in contact with my students via email and often share tailored French content such as videos, podcasts and songs.
My teaching style? My teaching style tends to be informal yet informative, as I want my students to have fun while learning more about French life and how natives speak French in their daily lives. If you would prefer a more formal approach, I’m happy to adapt our sessions to meet your needs. I use the silent method for correcting mistakes, allowing you to speak without worry. At the end of the discussion, I will inform you of the mistakes and how to correct them.
A little about me. I’m a native French speaker from Northern France; however, my friends describe me as a ‘woman with a suitcase’ because I’m always on the move! I have always had a love for language and culture, and I am passionate about sharing my knowledge of the French language with my students. I have a master’s degree in law and currently writing a publication entitled ‘Les pères dans l'ombre du droit’, which is set to be published later this year.

I have 4 years of teaching experience and I offer different type of classes, for beginners to advanced level learners. I always start to know your objectives in order to tailor the class. Then, I speak the more clearly possible, and I make you talk the most you can. I make you repeat, and I correct every mistake (pronunciation, syntax, grammar). I always speak French during the class, even though with the beginners, and of course with some parenthesis in English. The main theme of the classes can be about grammar, vocabulary, conversation, reading, writing. The support can be a powerpoint or a text, a video or a song for example.

We’re confident you’ll love learning via LanguaTalk. We're trusted by students all over the world because we're transparent. We ask students to rate each lesson, and we display reviews on tutors’ profiles.
99.8% of lesson ratings are 5 stars. Why? Because unlike other platforms, we accept only the top 10% of tutor applications.
To see our full FAQs or get help from our friendly team, click the '?' in the corner of the screen. You can also watch students talking about their experiences learning via LanguaTalk below.
1-on-1 lessons are perhaps the best way to improve speaking skills, and because of this many students use LanguaTalk to learn to speak French fluently. That said, some students have other, more specific goals. Tell your tutor what your goals are and they'll tailor the lessons to your needs. Most tutors can help with any of the following:
New to LanguaTalk? You'll have one credit for a free trial. Most tutors offer a trial for free. If they do not, they’ll offer a trial session at a discount compared to their usual hourly rate.
Trial sessions last 30 minutes. They allow you to assess whether the tutor is a good fit for you, and get a feel for learning online. The tutor will assess your level and aim to understand your needs and interests so that they can customise any lessons you decide to take. You'll be encouraged to speak in French as much as possible, but of course you can speak in English too!
After your session, if you feel that the tutor isn’t quite right for you, you can simply book a trial with someone else.
Most of the French tutors on our site are able to teach students of all levels. When you click on a tutor's profile you'll see if certain levels are not supported. For example, certain tutors cannot teach complete beginners.
Likewise, you can also see on the tutor's profile whether they're suitable for all ages. Online French lessons are sometimes taken to support school/college studies. Usually, the tutor will be able to customise the lessons to follow the material and topics covered in the student's exams. Please note that as per our Terms & Conditions, students who are under 18 must get permission from a legal guardian before booking.
Lessons are taught 1-on-1 so that you receive your tutor’s full attention and can make fast progress. Communicating via video call, you’ll be able to talk to your tutor and share learning materials as if you were in the same room.
The tutors vary in terms of their teaching methods, resources, experiences, and personalities. So we suggest you look at several profiles to choose the best tutor for you. Whichever French tutor you pick, they'll aim to tailor the lessons to your individual needs.
The vast majority of students take 55-minute lessons. But some tutors also provide the option of 30-minute lessons. If they do, you’ll see this noted on their profile (below their pricing and above the ‘Buy Lessons’ button).
55-minute lessons are recommended for most students. In general, we only suggest considering 30-minute lessons if they’re for your child, or you have an intermediate level and only want conversation practice.
We want students to have an exceptional learning experience on LanguaTalk, so we only accept the very best tutor applications. Though we consider qualifications and experience, we place equal value on communication skills, personality and reviews from previous students. Almost all tutors are native speakers of the language they teach, and we require that they can speak English too.
Each tutor is different - they have different backgrounds, strengths, teaching methods and personalities. So we suggest you browse several profiles to find the right French tutor for you.
The beauty of taking lessons online is that you can learn anytime, anywhere. To see tutors who are likely to fit your weekly schedule, use the availability filter at the top. Then when you see a tutor you like, check their profile calendar to make sure their time slots work for you. Some tutors have limited availability as they already have lots of students.
Our booking system is designed to be incredibly easy to use. You can see tutors' available hours in your local time zone. If you choose to book lessons with a tutor, you'll be able to purchase them one at a time, or buy in bulk with a volume discount. You can pay securely by card on our website.
You can manually add bookings to your personal calendar, or if you use Google calendar, you can add bookings automatically with our syncing feature. You'll also be able to receive email reminders to help ensure you don't forget to turn up.
You can reschedule or cancel lessons in a couple of clicks. Note that this can only be done up to 24 hours before the lesson time. This rule is required to protect tutors, who lose income when lessons are cancelled at the last minute.
Sometimes students feel uncertain about learning French online because they think it’ll be totally different to learning face-to-face. But usually when they try it, they find that the experience is almost the same and they often build a strong relationship with their tutor.
Once you start a video call with your chosen French tutor online, you’ll be able to communicate with them as if you were in the same room. They’ll usually also share learning resources with you (using Google Docs, YouTube etc.) and you’ll be able to collaborate in real-time.
According to the Foreign Service Institute, if you already speak English, French is one of the easiest languages to learn. The exact amount of time it will take you to become fluent will depend on many factors, such as your current level, your knowledge of similar languages, your capacity to learn, how you study, and how intensively you study. Some will be able to go from beginner to conversational fluency within a couple of months through intensive study. Others will take longer. Combining 1-on-1 lessons with an online French tutor with regular self-study is an effective way to learn French fast.
If you live in the US or Europe, face-to-face French lessons may cost anywhere between $20 and $60 (USD) per hour. Online tutoring tends to be cheaper than face-to-face because the tutor doesn't need to travel to you. An online French tutor could cost anywhere from $13 to $50 per hour, but be aware that very cheap tutors may lack experience. On LanguaTalk, French tutors typically charge between $14 and $40 per hour.
Of course, learning 1-on-1 with an experienced French tutor is not the cheapest way to learn; you could learn via a free app instead. But if you're serious about learning, nothing beats 1-on-1 French lessons with a great teacher.
There is no 'best way' to learn a language - it depends on your needs, level and budget. If you can't afford to take lessons, you can use a free app such as Duolingo to build your vocabulary. And to improve your listening skills, you can watch TV and listen to podcasts in French. But to learn how to actually speak a language, you need to talk to a native speaker on a regular basis and receive accurate feedback so that you improve. If you want to make fast progress, it's best to take 1-on-1 lessons that are tailored to your needs by an experienced online French teacher.
