Bonjour! Whether you are a relatively new French speaker, someone looking to polish their skills or simply want to opportunity to speak French, I’m excited to meet you. 

What do I offer? I offer French conversations and classes to improve speaking skills, pronunciation and vocabulary so that students become comfortable with the language and have fluid conversations with real people. You won’t have to say ‘comme ci comme ça’ ever again!

I aim to improve your comprehension and practice of the language, as I believe this is the best way to learn. To steer our conversations, I will consider your goals and craft lesson content to meet your needs, levels and objectives; these are aspects we will define together during our trial lesson. Although I do not set homework (unless you would like some of course!), I love to keep in contact with my students via email and often share tailored French content such as videos, podcasts and songs. 

My teaching style? My teaching style tends to be informal yet informative, as I want my students to have fun while learning more about French life and how natives speak French in their daily lives. If you would prefer a more formal approach, I’m happy to adapt our sessions to meet your needs. I use the silent method for correcting mistakes, allowing you to speak without worry. A little about me. I’m a native French speaker from Northern France; however, my friends describe me as a ‘woman with a suitcase’ because I’m always on the move! With a bachelor's in applied modern languages and in the process of doing a Master's in French as a foreign language, I am very passionate about language learning and teaching my native tongue, french!  I have been teaching French for 8 years online and offline to people of various ages. I am familiar with the DELF A1-B2 examinations and also teach casual pronunciation, vocabulary, and grammar.

I like to adapt my lessons according to the levels and goals of my students. I work with beginners to B2 intermediate level. My main goal is for you to come out of my lessons feeling more confident in the language. 

For the trial lesson:

- I will first send you a Google docs document. This document is for you to have access to the lesson plans before the lesson and for you to add your own notes. 

- In the first few minutes, I usually ask for you to present yourself and what you expect out of our lessons.  

- I like to start with some simple exercises to see how you feel about grammar, reading, listening, and speaking. 

If you want to focus on speaking only we will do various speaking exercises for you to be more confident in the language. If you want to practice for the DELF A1 to B2 exams or any examinations in your school/university we will work on whichever section you feel needs the most work. I graduated from the University of Oregon in the US with a Master of arts (French culture and Literature) and then I got a bachelor of Teaching French as a 2nd language from the University of Nantes, France. I started teaching at the University of Oregon as a GTF and it helped me find my path, teaching became a part of my identity and I really found myself thanks to this experience. Afterwards, I started to travel around south east Asia and moved to Vietnam and started teaching English to Vietnamese students. I started teaching French online when I moved to the Philippines in 2019, and have continued since in several countries such as Canada and France.

I was a school teacher in France for 4 years, before moving to Argentina where I taught French for one year. 

Back in France, I have been giving French lessons online for more than two years now.

- Discuss well at the outset to determine your level, your goals, your interests, what you expect from online courses, in order to prepare a 100% personalized course.

- I rely on different methods for beginners, which I adapt to each student according to their progress. For people who have a more advanced level I like to rely on texts or videos for discussion. If the students wish, I can provide grammar/vocabulary exercises to be done outside the class, in order to devote the time of the lesson to conversation/oral practice.
