I have 8 years experience of language teaching, as a selfemployed private teacher for one-on-one classes. My classes are well structured, according to your needs. We work with science based teaching material that helps you to develop your German skills in a progressive way. We practice reading, writing, listening and of course speaking with a wide array of exercises. I consider grammar as an important part of language learning, but only to help you to develop your communicative abilities. I provide homework after each class to help you deepen and revise the new content.

Hallo!
My name is Marie and I'd like to help you to improve your German.
I was born and raised in Germany so I'm a native German speaker. Currently I'm living in France and work here as a teacher for German as a second and foreign language.Â
For more than seven years I have been teaching German now in Germany and in France and with a lot of passion and joy for all levels and ages. It's a big pleasure for me to get to know so many cultures and people by teaching. Because of my stay in France, I speak French and of course also English.
In my classes I set the focus on you as an individual learner. So I prepare every lesson individually based on your personal needs. We will do various types of grammar exercises, reading comprehensions and of course we'll also talk a lot. I'm also having a lot of experience in successfully preparing students for German certificates (Goethe, telc) in all levels. You will benefit from my years of experience as I have a lot of learning material for all kinds of needs and occasions.Â
German might be a bit challenging sometimes but believe me there is a logical reason for everything. Let me show and explain you the German grammar and I'm sure you will see how logical and beautiful German can be.Â
So let's explore the beauty of German together and I'd love to meet you for a trial session!
Ich freue mich auf dich!

Hello, I am Jan from Germany and I would like to help you learn German and improve your German. I offer lessons for all levels and prepare you for exams or job interviews, for example. I can support you in writing applications or other texts in German. Furthermore, I can also help you to speak German as an everyday language.
I have been tutoring foreign languages such as French and Spanish at a tutoring institute for over a year. I have worked for 6 month in a German language school in MedellÃn, Colombia. There, I taught a group of 10 persons online at the A2 level. I also gave additional lessons in grammar or vocabulary for the levels A1 to B2.
I work with the immersive learning method. This means that I speak with you mostly in German during class and only in exceptional cases in another language. In this way, new words and phrases can be learned subconsciously while you get used to speaking in the foreign language. No worries, I explain the grammar as easily and understandably as possible.
As teaching materials, I use, for example, song lyrics and texts from media on topics that interest you.
I am about to finish my translation studies of French, Spanish, and German in Innsbruck, Austria. I am very interested in languages, traveling, politics and photography.
I'm really looking forward to meeting you in a trial session. Bis bald! See you!

Learning a language should be fun and the German you learn should suit the environment you want to use it in. Whether you want to learn German to pass important exams at school, have business contacts abroad, your spouse is German, you are going away on holiday in Germany, or you just want to keep up your language skills - please get in touch and we can work out a lesson plan and pace which suits you.
I have experience in working with students with neurodivergences.

Are you looking for someone to simply talk to and practice German? My teaching style is engaging, patient and creative. I am practiced in teaching teenagers (16 and older) and adults. I have lived in the United States for 7 years. Therefore, I am experienced with different language environments and the challenges of studying another language.
My focus lies mainly on conversation. I help you to form sentences and to learn new words from all kinds of interesting topics. In so doing, I help you to become confident in German. Having fun while learning a new language is one important pillar to my experience. I give my best to create an atmosphere that helps you to engage in conversations with me and with others. Occasionally I use individually prepared worksheets as a support for our conversations.
I generally focus on the individual needs of my students. Be it preparing for a job interview, getting ready to live in a German speaking country, or learning German just for fun, I adjust my lessons to whatever you need so that you are able to speak, to read and to write in German. I am also happy to figure it out together in case you need help with the right approach.
So, in case I made you a little curious … Why do you not book a trial lesson with me and give it a try?

Hi there,
My name is Christine. I’m half German, half Belgian, and I have lived in Mexico for 19 years. I have been a teacher for 16 years and I have taught different subjects and languages, such as English, German, Spanish, world history, and geography. My teaching approach depends on the student's level and interests. That being said, I believe that conversation is an important part of learning a language, and so I often focus on conversation or question-answer sessions in my classes. I love teaching and I always aim to make classes interesting.
I currently use the Netzwerk textbook and workbook by Klett (for A1 level), but I am open to working with other books as well. At the moment I am awaiting new books for other levels.
My Spanish level is excellent. I speak Latin American Spanish, but I know the grammar for Spanish from both Spain and Latin America.
Hope to meet you soon!

Hello and welcome :-) Hallo und willkommen :-)
My name is Beatrice, and I’m excited that you want to learn my native language, German, or Swiss German.Â
For the last 10 years, I have taught German to colleagues and friends, and since February 2023, I have been teaching German online. So far, I have helped an A2 and a B1 student pass their TELC German certificates in Summer 2023. Â I have an English, French and Spanish language certificate, and I'm following training for a German language teaching degree. Â
It is important for me that you enjoy learning German, that I can help you in a well-understood and enjoyable way, and that you reach your goals. It is up to you what you wish to learn — if you need German for your profession, for traveling, or if you want to pass a Goethe or TELC language certificate.Â
For many years, I lived in Germany, Switzerland and Spain. There, I worked in tourism as well as customer service in the front and back offices as an agent and team leader. Now I’m teaching online while traveling the world. My first destination is Spain, the Canary Island of Gran Canaria, and my second destination is the Island of Malta.
My hobbies are learning and teaching languages, traveling, reading, writing, yoga, hiking, swimming and dancing.
Let’s book a trial lesson with me and talk about your goals.

Hello future students,Â
Are you looking to bring your German to the next level? Whether you are a complete beginner, intermediate or even advanced German speaker, I'll be able to tailor a lesson just for you. In our lessons, you will be the main character doing most of the talking and writing, but don't worry, I will guide you through it.Â
I have over three years of teaching experience - both online and classroom teaching - and I have worked with students from 11-55 years old, different levels of German, and various cultural backgrounds. We will try and speak as much German as possible right from the start, but it would be helpful if you spoke some English. If not you won't be able to read this text anyways, so I don't really know why I even wrote it here. Oh well.Â
If I am not busy teaching German, you can often find me dangling off the end of a rope doing some rock-climbing or going on some stunning hikes, but we can talk more about hobbies in our lessons - in German of course :)Â
Come book a trial lesson with me and find out what it's all about. I'm looking forward to getting to know you!
Bis bald,Â
Julia

Important: I just do conversation classes at the moment. That can include ...
-> Open conversation or about a specific topic of your interest eg. hobbies, news, culture..
-> Listening to podcasts or watch videos in order to discuss the content later on.Â

But NO grammar.Â

Hi, my name is Sina and I am a native German speaker who is passionate about talking and teaching this language with people from different cultures all over the world! I am currently based in Kampala, Uganda, working in the creative arts sector as projects manager.
My experiences teaching German language go back to 2015, during my master studies, when I gave intense lessons to refugees helping them to reach basic vocabulary and grammar for everyday conversations using self-compiled material.
When moving to Uganda in 2019, I gave regular tutoring classes to German students' level A1, A2 and B1 at Goethe-Zentrum Kampala for six months. I got insights into the language structures of the Goethe Insitut-system including exam preparation collecting professional teaching material.
To get students engaged with German language I usually work with interactive methods. We start with a comprehensive introduction to the respective topic through work sheets, powerpoint or visuals. Then we apply what has been learned through playful games, conversation exercises or gap texts. My methodology is: First process, then apply! Teaching one-to-one means I am all there for you, you decide which topic you want to work on, which challenges you want to master and how often we should repeat a lesson.
Book a trial lesson with me, let's get to know each other and set your goals from the very beginning. Let's build and level up your language skills and start the journey! Cheers
See Reviews From StudentsOur research suggests that the average cost for private German lessons in Hattiesburg is somewhere between $25-$35 per hour. As online tutors do not need to travel to you and they often live in countries with a lower cost of living, the hourly cost tends to be significantly lower.
Tutors on LanguaTalk sometimes provide lessons locally, but most only provide online lessons as it is more convenient and allows them to work from home. In addition, most tutors are not teaching German in Hattiesburg because they're living elsewhere in the world. If you decide to book with a tutor, you should assume that they can only teach you online.
If you're really not keen on learning with a teacher via video call, LanguaTalk isn't going to be the right choice for you. You can instead search for a tutor on a local service listing website, or put up an advert in your local area. We do encourage you to give it a try learning online though - you've got nothing to lose as you can book a free trial session. Most people find the experience is as good as learning face-to-face, but with the benefit of having access to better tutors at a lower cost.
Whether you live in the city centre or the suburbs of Hattiesburg, there are many options for learning German. You could use an app or a software program if you're looking to pick up basic vocabulary and learn some grammar rules. Alternatively, you could attend group lessons with German tutors in Hattiesburg if you're keen for a social experience. Or, you could take 1-on-1 lessons with a private tutor. This isn't the cheapest way to learn a language but it's possibly the most effective, assuming you have a good tutor. Learning online rather than face-to-face may make private tutors a more affordable option. Check the tutor profiles above to see how much it's likely to cost. Prices vary a lot depending on the tutor, but will usually be cheaper than learning with a German tutor in Hattiesburg, face-to-face.
Sometimes students tell us that they're not sure about learning German online because they think it’ll be completely different to learning face-to-face. But usually when they try it, they find that the experience is almost the same and they often build a solid relationship with their tutor.
Once you start a video call with your chosen tutor, you’ll be able to communicate with them as if you were in the same room. The tutor will typically also share learning resources with you (newspaper articles, YouTube, etc.) and you’ll be able to collaborate in real-time using a tool like Google Docs or Dropbox Paper.
On LanguaTalk, you can find exceptional tutors for 1-on-1 German lessons tailored to your goals and learning preferences. Here’s how to try it for yourself:
1 - Find your ideal tutor by browsing videos, reviews, pricing and availability.
2 - Book a trial. Many tutors offer a 30-minute trial for free; others charge a discounted price.
3 - Take personalised lessons with your new tutor via video call. Or try someone else.
No card is required to book a free trial session. Please only book if you're considering taking lessons. Pricing varies by tutor and you can use the filter to find someone who fits your budget. You can pay one lesson at a time, or buy in bulk for a discount (open a tutor's profile to see their pricing options).
We’re confident you’ll love learning via LanguaTalk. We're trusted by students all over the world because we're transparent. We ask students to rate each lesson, and we display reviews on tutors’ profiles.
99.8% of lesson ratings are 5 stars. Why? Because unlike other platforms, we accept only the top 10% of tutor applications.
To see our full FAQs or get help from our friendly team, click the 'Help' button in the bottom-right. You can also watch students talking about their experiences learning via LanguaTalk below.
Lessons are taught 1-on-1 so that you receive your tutor’s full attention and can make fast progress. Communicating via video call, you’ll be able to talk to your tutor and share learning materials as if you were in the same room.
The tutors vary in terms of their teaching methods, resources, experiences, and personalities. So we suggest you look at several profiles to choose the best tutor for you. Whichever German tutor you pick, they'll aim to tailor the lessons to your individual needs.
New to LanguaTalk? We'll give you a credit for a free trial session. Many, but not all, tutors offer these for free. If they do not, the price will be just 30 percent of their full lesson price, so you can still try a session at minimal cost.
Trial sessions last 30 minutes. They allow you to assess whether the tutor is a good fit for you, and get a feel for learning online. The tutor will assess your level and aim to understand your needs and interests so that they can customise any lessons you decide to take. You'll be encouraged to speak in German as much as possible, but of course you can speak in English too!
If, after your trial session, you don't feel that the tutor is quite right for you, you can book a trial with another tutor for just 30 percent of their full lesson price.
The vast majority of students take 55-minute lessons. But some tutors also provide the option of 30-minute lessons. If they do, you’ll see this noted on their profile (below their pricing and above the ‘Buy Lessons’ button).
55-minute lessons are recommended for most students. In general, we only suggest considering 30-minute lessons if they’re for your child, or you have an intermediate level and only want conversation practice.
The beauty of taking lessons online is that you can learn anytime, anywhere. When you choose a tutor, just check their calendar to make sure that they have available times that fit your schedule. Some tutors have limited availability as they already have a lot of students.
