Conversational French classes online

Hi everyone! My name is Sebastien. I'm a certified French teacher. I am originally from France, but in 2014 I decided to move to Colombia where I currently live and work.  I hold the DAEFLE (Diploma in Teaching French as a Foreign Language). I have a good level of English and speak Spanish fluently. I consider myself a calm, patient, attentive and flexible person. I love to travel ! In an increasingly connected world, discovering new languages and new cultures are aspects that seem fundamental to me!

Concerning my professional experience, I worked in different language institutes from 2014 to 2020. Since 2020, I have been working as a private online FLE teacher. In addition, all of this has given me the opportunity to work with different audiences, mainly adults and teenagers, with different objectives:

- study in a French-speaking country.

- work in a French-speaking country.

- take a French exam (DELF / TCF)

- go sightseeing in a French-speaking country.

- pleasure in learning a new language.

I adapt my lessons to your French level, to your experience with learning French and to your objectives. Do you want to travel, study or work in a French-speaking country? Certify your level of French? Learn a language for fun? I will prepare my lessons according to your expectations and your objectives so that your learning process is a real pleasure and not an obligation!

My methodology is based on COMMUNICATION and ACTION, and is oriented towards learning grammar, vocabulary and phonetics through authentic documents. Knowing how to conjugate the past tense is good! But knowing how to use it to tell a friend what you did last weekend is better! The objective of my courses is that you can communicate in real life situations through different comprehension and production activities (oral and written).

Looking to improve your conversational skills and/or perfect your accent?

I offer fluency & pronunciation classes as well as preparation classes for the DELF-DALF exams.

Whether you are looking at learning French as a hobby or improving your language skills for a job, an exam or daily-life conversations, I will be more than happy to help you.

I tailor my classes to your needs and in the first lesson, we will get to know each other.

We will speak about your goals and what you want from these lessons.

I'm aware that learning French can be life-changing for many students and I approach each lesson professionally.

What do I offer? I help you go from learning French to actually using it in real conversations. My lessons focus on speaking naturally, discovering the expressions French people really use and understanding the little cultural details that make the language come alive. Whether you want to feel more confident speaking, prepare for a trip, or simply enjoy conversations in French, I’ll help you make progress in a relaxed and supportive environment.

My teaching style? My lessons are conversation-based, interactive and adapted to your goals. I want you to feel comfortable speaking, making mistakes and expressing yourself. While we talk, I’ll help you find more natural ways to say things and explain the differences between “textbook French” and the French you hear in everyday life. I can also share French content such as videos, podcasts and songs to help you stay connected with the language outside our sessions.

A little about me. Bonjour ! I’m a native French speaker from Northern France. I’ve always been curious about languages, travelling and the small cultural differences that make each country unique. I’m often called the “woman with a suitcase” because discovering new places and ways of life has always been a big part of who I am. As someone who is learning other languages myself, I understand the challenges of searching for words, making mistakes and slowly building confidence. This curiosity also led me to create French immersion stays in France, where participants can experience the language in real-life situations while discovering French culture, food and traditions. For me, learning a language is not just about grammar and vocabulary. It’s about connecting with people, sharing your ideas and feeling comfortable being yourself in another language.

I’d love to help you discover that side of French!

As the founder of two educational institutions in France and Egypt, I am a native French teacher, multi-certified by the Alliance Française, and an official professional training provider.

I support my students in achieving their life projects, whether it’s obtaining a diploma for a visa, unlocking business opportunities, preparing for a trip abroad, or simply becoming fluent enough to connect with family, friends, and colleagues.

As a board member of the Amis du Château de Pau, I also love sharing my passion for French history, culture, and heritage with my students.

My classes are exclusively for adults. To help you reach your goals, I offer three specific learning paths:

📘 Beginners: The Fundamentals (A1-A2)

A structured and progressive program to build a solid foundation: phonetics, grammar, listening and reading comprehension, as well as speaking and writing skills.

🗣️ Intermediate & Advanced: Fluency and Refinement (B1-C2)

Thematic conversations (current events, society, history, arts), grammar refinement, and vocabulary enrichment.

🎓 Exam Preparation: Aim for Success

Targeted coaching to obtain your official certification: DELF (A1 to C2), TEF, and TCF.

💬 Book a trial lesson and let's start progressing together! 🚀

📌 A few rules to ensure a smooth learning experience:

✅ Personal work is crucial. Too many students rely solely on the teacher and remain passive. It’s not about working intensely, but regularly: 5 to 15 minutes a day is enough to make progress.

✅ To learn a language, certain conditions must be met: determination, discipline, punctuality, and commitment are essential.

✅ I invite you to check my calendar carefully to ensure you find mutually suitable availability. My schedule can be busy, and certain time slots fill up quickly.

✅ Please consider that rescheduling and cancellations, even though authorized by the platform, have a direct impact on my business and income.

✅ Finally, if the conditions listed above are not respected, I reserve the right to stop our lessons. My goal is not to waste time, energy, and resources, but to guarantee serious and beneficial guidance.

Learning is much more efficient and enjoyable when it is grounded in your reality !

This is why I make my lessons student-centered : around your specific needs, goals and centres of interest. I call my method « chameleon-like »

Whether it is for receptive skills, that is listening and reading, or productive skills, that is writing and speaking, we use mostly real-life materials around situations you may or will find yourself into. It makes it much more stimulating, efficient and useful to you !

For advanced students and conversationalists we work around any topics of your choice to consolidate grammatical points, expand and enrich your vocabulary.

I am also a visual artist. My passions are art, culture at large, travels and nature. But I am very curious to know what yours are… I teach you French and you teach me about things you like (en français bien sûr !)

I welcome duo classes. So if you have a partner or a friend who'd like to learn with you please let me know. Prices are ajusted accordingly. Levels of proficiency have to match as much as possible. A bientôt !

Bonjour!

I’ve been a professional French teacher since 2007. I taught French in various language schools, for big companies and at university. Since 2020, I’ve been teaching exclusively online. These experiences have allowed me to be in contact with different types of students, from children to adults, from beginner to proficiency, for leisure or business purposes or to prepare for the official French certifications (I’m also a DELF examiner). Therefore, I’m used to adapt to the needs and learning objectives of my students. This means that I can choose the right teaching material so that we can practice and progress according to your own goals and interests.

Languatalk is perfect to learn a language in a very efficient, funny and motivating way. My teaching method is based on oral communication and pronunciation, which doesn’t mean that you won’t learn and practice grammar and structures which are necessary to express oneself properly. Through the material provided such as books, newspapers, videos, you will also be improving your reading and listening skills. We can also work your writing if you need or want to.

See you!

Hello my name is teacher Sussu, and I am so happy to meet you.

I am an experienced teacher with more than 17 years of experience.

I have a Master's degree in TESOL (Teaching English as a Second Language) and FLE (French as a Second Language), plus I am Montessori certified.

I believe that learning a new language should be fun and exciting.

Yes, it is not always easy, but it is more like a puzzle you build piece by piece.

I always start where you are and offer new ways to use and expand what you already know.

My priority in class is to make sure my students speak and relax.

The more relaxed, the more confident you will be. The more daring, the more you will see that it is okay to make mistakes and try again.

I will always challenge you to reach higher, to add one step and then another step in your language journey. And then, you will have fun doing so.

Plus, I match my classes to your interests and goals.

So what do you think?

Are you ready to book a trial with me?

I promise to always be patient and kind.

I hope to see you soon.

Until then...
