I'm Romain, I provide Online Private French Lessons for adults & kids.
I'm the creator of a visual method that uses symbols to represent words, tenses, and grammatical aspects, representing each word with a clear and obvious symbol, helping your brain to memorize and make complex sentences.
This tool is great for people who want & need to visualize what they’re learning.
Moreover, illustrations make your learning experience more fun, easier, but also incredibly effective.
With those symbols placed side by side, the student will start to talk from the very first class guaranteed! Kids learn their native language visually, why would we use another method with adults?

For the past 10 years, I've been teaching French in NYC (Tribeca School), in Shanghai (Fudan University) & Rio de Janeiro.
I have a lawyer degree but I followed my passion for languages and teaching French is my main activity.

I am an enthusiastic French teacher (I also teach English, Russian, Spanish and German). So, your mother tongue can be any of these languages  as I   speak and teach in all of these languages. Learning grammar is only one part of learning a language, the other part is practicing, and of course having as much fun as possible during the learning process! I work with a book to give your learning a structure. However, I also choose interesting videos, audio files and conversation topics so that you get immersed into the language as much as possible. 

My focus lies on the right pronunciation, motivating you and showing you that learning a language can be lots of fun. I have lived and worked two years in the South of France and have a German diploma in translation and interpretation for French, German and English. I speak 7 languages and 5 of them fluently. I want to show you that it is possible to learn a new language fast and with fun. I usually need 3-4 weeks in order to speak a new language fluently. How do I do it? Through as much immersion into the language as possible: reading books, comics, watching cartoons, films, YouTube videos, listening to songs, and speaking to natives in real life and online.

Hello, how are you? My name is Sylvain, I'm 30 and from Belgium. I currently live in São Paulo, Brazil with my wife. I have a degree in management, but I've been working as a French teacher since I arrived in Brazil. 
I did a university exchange in Chile, which helped me learn Spanish.  I'm a curious person and I'm interested in almost every topic, but I particularly like talking about the economy, politics, technology and cultural differences between countries.After arriving in Brazil, an opportunity came up for me to work as a French teacher in a school for adults, where I worked for the first two years. After that, I decided to become self-employed and concentrate on one-to-one, in-company and online teaching. Today, I have students of all levels with different objectives (work, travel, pleasure, French language maintenance, diplomacy etc.) and I love it when they are satisfied and see themselves progressing. Hi! I'm Méloée, I am 28 and I've been teaching French since 2015. I was born and grew up in Bretagne (North-West of France), lived for 7 years in Argentina, 2 years in Marseille (in the South of France) and I live now in Barcelona, Spain. I speak French, Spanish and English, and I am also currently learning Portuguese.

I teach to all levels and ages. Conversation classes, to prepare a trip, an exam, to learn from zero, to practice grammar... we'll see together what are your goals and preferences and I'll tailor my lessons to you. 

In my experience the quickest and best way to progress is speaking and practicing a lot, so I always try to include a lot of practice in my lessons. 

For example, a class may start with a text or video (more or less difficult depending on your level) to practice comprehension, then I'll ask you some specific questions about the document to see if you understood well and see the new vocabulary. Then I'll ask more generic questions around the theme of the video/text, so you talk about your opinion on the subject, related experiences... This way, you'll speak a lot and it allows me to identify easily if you may need some theoretical exercises on specific points.

In conversation classes, I’ll give you plenty of time to speak and I will provide you with detailed feedback that will help you get a better understanding of the use of French. For exam preparation classes, I will focus on improving your writing and speaking skills to help you reach the score you aim at. I have helped many students get the B2+ and more in TEF and TCF Canada exams.

As for beginners classes, we can use a manual or have informal classes.

About my classes, I can give you an example. One German person is learning French with me and during the class I write what the person is saying, so I can send a document at the end for reading and improving some details. I see speaking as the sun, and the other things are gravitating around it, like writing, understanding, intonation, vocabulary..etc

I have a BA in Management from SKEMA Business School and  a Master degree in International and European Management from NEOMA Business School. 

I used to live in the USA for a while (Miami) and also in the United Arabic Emirates where I started to teach French from A1 to C2. I have been teaching since 2006.

I am dedicated, teach by passion and I am so proud of my students. When I moved to the Middle East, I gave one to one lesson  and also group lessons with people from different nationalities and languages : Dutch, German, Arabic, English, Spanish, Chinese... I understand the different struggles depending on your native language. Learning foreign languages myself, I understand even better!  I teach also  children and I am also also tutoring foreign children living in France who have 3 months to immerse in French classes. 

I like teaching French. Confidence is very important. My method is based on 30 min exercices, grammar, conjugation and 30 min conversation  based on a short video for the listenning. If you are a beginner, you will wait 3-4 lessons before doing this exercice, but don't worry, you will speak speak anyway.  I hope to see you soon.

How I teach 👩‍🏫:

I like to create lessons around a theme (the news, french events, everyday life, ...), this way I can gather different activities around it. 

For example, we will start with a few questions about the theme, then gather vocabulary and read a text or watch a video about it. Afterward you will have a few questions to answer about the doct to iniciate a discussion about it. I always write your answers on the document to add corrections (if necessary) and to give you gentle feedback without interrupting you. Sometimes, I also like to implement speaking games at the end of the lesson so you can talk french in a more independent and ludic way ! 

Resources 📝:

I usually use Google Docs and/or Powerpoint for my lessons, according to what I am going to teach (for example if I need to share a digital media with you, I will put it on your personal Google Doct). Each student has his own Google Doct that we use for each lesson. I usually send you the link to your Doct after our first lesson ! 

Qualifications 💼: 

I graduated my FLE master's degree, I also have a BA degree in French language and literature and a BA degree in English language, literature, foreign and regional civilisation.

I’m a native French speaker also fluent in English. I have a degree in psychology focused on Education. I started teaching French to kids from immigrant parents in France via a charity and I loved it ! In addition to two years experience with this project, I've been teaching French online for a year. I have students from all over the world with different levels, goals, and interests. I always adapt my teaching style to each of them to make classes interesting and personalized. I like to use English as little as possible and encourage communication in French.
