my name is Florentin, I've been teaching German for the last 10 years, working both with groups and 1-on-1.

Maybe the most important aspect for me is the atmosphere in which you can be at ease and speak freely without any fear of making mistakes. Mistakes are not only a part of the process, but have to be made and will help your understanding. Our class is a safe space where you can express yourself exactly as you do now and ask all the questions you may have.

In a session we might converse while refining your German language skills, go over your texts together, rehearse an exam and get you ready for a German language certificate test or job interview, take a clarifying look into any specific topic you feel confused about etc. 

All these activities, that can be fun, can also help us see what is needed for you to advance.

We can use my materials and you are also welcome to bring whatever you would like to work with.

More about me:
I initially started teaching German after a one-year journey through South America which I undertook after graduating from university. During these travels I learned Spanish and subsequently got the task of offering tuition to students at university who were struggling with reading academic texts in German. Thereafter I started teaching all German levels to different groups at university and also to students individually and have been doing so for over 10 years now, in-person and online. I've also been leading translation groups and lecturing on other language topics like language philosophy. 
Living and teaching German in other countries for several years gave me deeper insight both into learning languages and into my own mother tongue and during that time I naturally adopted the role of a bridge between cultures and languages. 

I speak English and Spanish fluently and one of these languages could serve as additional support for our work together in case we share it :)

I am a German and English native speaker and have been a teacher for 25 years. I specialize in the exam preparation for the Goethe Zertifikat or equivalent and have considerable experience with professionals, embassy staff and medical students. My method is simple: I make it real, I make it relevant and most of all, I make it fun!

Understanding and mastering are two completely different things. Therefore, it is not my goal to explain a lot, but to make you USE grammar structures and new words in a systematic way.

I am a German native speaker from Austria who loves languages and am passionate about teaching others. I work as language teacher in a school, teach adults at the German Culture Center and prepare my students for all types of official language exams. I love my job and always seek to make it as much fun as possible.

I am adapting my way of teaching to the needs and the personality of my students. We can build up your vocabulary and speaking capacities, work on your written expression or on your general understanding. You want a conversation class to practice the language or build up your knowledge in Grammar? Or perhaps you have a language exam to pass. Or is it perhaps your child that wants to learn a language while playing? You want to improve your German while learning more about the German speaking countries? You need someone who is motivating you to keep up our learning journey?

I have experience in teaching people from very different cultural background, different ages and different levels. I would love to get to know you during our trial lesson, so that we can come up with a tailored plan for you.

We can discuss travel, politics, the cities we live in, art, culture, the news, your job, your dreams and goals - anything :) I will adjust to your level (B1 and up) so that you don't feel overwhelmed. Language learning should be fun! 

Corrections and suggestions will be provided in the chat box. (this is not a grammar class though so explanations will be kept brief to focus on the conversation and improving fluency.

Given my background as a Communications Director at a global company I'm also happy to include business topics if that's of interest to you. 

My classes are NOT for beginners. As it is a conversation class, you must be able to hold at least a basic conversation (A2 level or higher)

Hi, I'm Your new German teacher. Born and raised in Switzerland but now living in Peru. I'm an artist, graphic designer and much more. I speak fluent English, Spanish and good French. I love to teach online because it allows me both to get to know new people from all over the world but also to take good care of my family. I always try to improve my teaching methods and to help my students find the best materials for them to keep studying for themselves. Besides teaching grammar and vocabulary I also like to use videos, audio-recordings, and a virtual whiteboard. You'll not only learn the language but also some cultural aspects. I am a patient and dedicated German tutor (check my reviews :) ) and I have worked with adults and children of all ages and German levels, so I have teaching material for every level and for exam preparation. Recently, I helped one of my students to pass the Goethe B2 exam. I started teaching languages 5 years ago and obtained a teaching certificate. I´ve been teaching German online for about 3 years. My mother tongues are German and Spanish, but I also speak English (C1 level) and a little bit of French.

We will practice reading, listening, writing and speaking. Therefore, we will use videos, worksheets, online exercises, dialogues or role-plays. We will practice everyday German and the vocabulary that you personally need. I will also guide you patiently through the grammar topics. If you want, I will give you homework after the lesson.
