ÂĄHola!
I'm Azahara, a certified Spanish teacher by Instituto Cervantes.
I have specialised in teaching Spanish to English speakers, but I have also taught international students in Thailand, Granada (Spain) and, of course, online.
My lessons are very dynamic and tailored to your needs.
I really enjoy teaching all kind of levels: it is very rewarding seeing the progress of a beginner student that starts to be able to communicate in Spanish after a few well structured classes whereas more advance lessons allow to very interesting topics and a little bit more freedom in the structure of the lesson.
ÂżHablamos? Let's talk!
A little bit more about me: I was born and raised in Zaragoza, a small city in the North of Spain famous for its wine, food and a football team that used to be good. I love traveling and languages: currently I'm studying Japanese, but I also (try to) speak French, Arabic and Spanish Sign Language; so yes, I know how it feels learning a language from 0! You're not alone in this process and I'll try my best to make it easy for you :D

The lessons incorporate a variety of engaging resources such as websites, videos, audio, newspaper articles, brochures, ads, and more. Through these materials, youâll build comprehension skills and expand your vocabulary.
During each lesson, weâll have moments of conversation and reflection on interesting topics. Youâll also gain insights into the culture of Spanish-speaking countries.
Types of Classes:
I hold a Cambridge Certification in teaching English, which has helped me design a teaching method that considers Spanish from the perspective of English speakers.
Youâll receive feedback, new vocabulary, and materials at the end of each session. Furthermore, before each class, youâll have access to useful materials to help you prepare for the next session.

I cover all levels and have experience in conversational classes. Every class is adapted to the student's level and will tailored to your needs.
Practical, conversational Spanish includes lots of activities, like word games, guess the word, creating stories using different tenses...
But if you prefer, we can also have dictations, make grammar exercises or choose online resources or magazine articles to talk about.
And, about me... I was born and raised in Spain (Burgos), and still living here. I love languages and always try to help as much as I can.
Book a trial so we can discuss your needs, I can answer your questions, and we can practice some Spanish!

Spanish conversation practice for adults. đŹ
ÂĄHola!-Hello!
My name is Metzly, a Mexican who loves music, art, and cats! Â
I like to help people to speak Spanish with confidence, even on the first levels of the language.
My goal is to build a fun, safe, and no-pressure learning environment for you. So, mistakes are encouraged!
PLEASE NOTICE THAT I ONLY WORK WITH INTERMEDIATE STUDENTS, THANK YOU!
After you book a trial lesson with me, I'll send you a comprehensive test that will allow me to determine your Spanish level. I like to focus on students' pronunciation and effective use of language.
My lessons are "Conversational Spanish"; if you are on a basic level, like A2+ / B1, we can have a more structured lesson. Â
If you don't understand a specific grammar topic, we can discuss it and use some examples -related to your life-. Â
We can also use pictures, paintings (my favorite way of practicing a language), videos, or anything that will help you to talk in Spanish.

I consider myself to be a very patience, disciplined, kind and creative person.
I am passionate about history, pastries, literature, linguistics, animals ( 100% dog lover! đ) and, of course, languages. So if you are interested in any of those topics weâll make a good match :]
And if you donât, thatâs ok! I find very nourishing learning about topics outside my comfort zone.
I speak Spanish since i am a native speaker from Peru, with a neutral accent. I do speak English fluently, German and a bit of Japanese also.
⨠Methodology
I use a methodology based on research and methods proven by psychologists and teachers. My classes are ALWAYS prepared and structured to meet your needs. The methodologies i use are:
1ď¸âŁ TPRS  (Teaching Proficiency Through Reading and Storytelling) and comprehensible input -> For learning grammar and vocabulary in a engaging, stress-free way!
2ď¸âŁ Breaking down your favorite songs, stories and articles -> To practice reading, vocab and pronunciation!
3ď¸âŁ Direct method (speaking only in Spanish for intermediate or advanced students) -> To strengthen your speaking and listening abilities
ALSO, i always explain grammar step by step and provide flashcards to remember vocabulary (based on the science proved method âSpaced repetitionâ).
I provide each of my students a personalized plan and homework based on their goals, needs and way of learning.
⨠Teaching Philosophy
I do believe that the ability we have for learning is truly a gift, as i said in the video âThe ability to learn is a seed that, with love and  discipline, can grow into a beautiful flower or a juicy fruitâ. My training as a Spanish instructor is based on studies of Spanish grammar and using the communicative approach methodology that is based on practical and simple activities that help develop skills such as oral expression, listening comprehension, writing with dictation and reading as well. Of course phonetics is included. Each class focuses on the specific needs of each student.
In each class I emphasize oral practice to help students feel confident to express themselves naturally in specific situations.
In some cases, the grammatical structure is included in a simplified and dynamic way, and the grammatical concepts may or may not be used in our class, depending on the interests or preferences of each student.
Also, I like to share the history and culture of my country and Latin America through the practice of Spanish as a natural practice for intermediate and advanced Spanish.
I invite you to book a trial class to learn about my teaching system and methodology.

My name is Melina and I am from Peru. I studied foreign languages at the National University of Cajamarca in the north of Peru and I got a degree in Education â Foreign languages. I speak Spanish (native) and English (B2) very well.
I will help you to learn Spanish for you to achieve your specific goals taking into account your needs, your level and your learning process. Our lessons will include videos, everyday Spanish conversations, slides and more. We will also have cultural activities such as gastronomy, music and tourism. The four skills to learn a foreign language will be included as well: reading, writing, listening and speaking, and you will also have the grammar so that you can understand the language and produce it.
I have worked with people from different ages and levels and I have helped some of them to pass international exams. Over the last 20 years I have taught English and Spanish and I always try to do my best for my students to enjoy the lessons, have fun and above all to learn.
I like meeting people and sharing my experience with them so I hope you can be one of them. If you book a trial lesson with me you will not regret it.

Weâre confident youâll love learning via LanguaTalk. We're trusted by students all over the world because we're transparent. We ask students to rate each lesson, and we display reviews on tutorsâ profiles.
99.8% of lesson ratings are 5 stars. Why? Because unlike other platforms, we accept only the top 10% of tutor applications.
To see our full FAQs or get help from our friendly team, click the 'Help' button in the bottom-right. You can also watch students talking about their experiences learning via LanguaTalk below.
1-on-1 lessons are perhaps the best way to improve speaking skills, and because of this many students use LanguaTalk to learn to speak Spanish fluently. That said, some students have other, more specific goals. Tell your tutor what your goals are and they'll tailor the lessons to your needs. Most tutors can help with any of the following:
New to LanguaTalk? You'll have one credit for a free trial. Most tutors offer a trial for free. If they do not, theyâll offer a trial session at a discount compared to their usual hourly rate.
Trial sessions last 30 minutes. They allow you to assess whether the tutor is a good fit for you, and get a feel for learning online. The tutor will assess your level and aim to understand your needs and interests so that they can customise any lessons you decide to take. You'll be encouraged to speak in Spanish as much as possible, but of course you can speak in English too!
After your session, if you feel that the tutor isnât quite right for you, you can simply book a trial with someone else.
Most of the Spanish tutors on our site are able to teach students of all levels. When you click on a tutor's profile you'll see if certain levels are not supported. For example, certain tutors cannot teach complete beginners.
Likewise, you can also see on the tutor's profile whether they're suitable for all ages. Online Spanish lessons are sometimes taken to support school/college studies. Usually, the tutor will be able to customise the lessons to follow the material and topics covered in the student's exams. Please note that as per our Terms & Conditions, students who are under 18 must get permission from a legal guardian before booking.
Lessons are taught 1-on-1 so that you receive your tutorâs full attention and can make fast progress. Communicating via video call, youâll be able to talk to your tutor and share learning materials as if you were in the same room.
The tutors vary in terms of their teaching methods, resources, experiences, and personalities. So we suggest you look at several profiles to choose the best tutor for you. Whichever Spanish tutor you pick, they'll aim to tailor the lessons to your individual needs.
The vast majority of students take 55-minute lessons. But some tutors also provide the option of 30-minute lessons. If they do, youâll see this noted on their profile (below their pricing and above the âBuy Lessonsâ button).
55-minute lessons are recommended for most students. In general, we only suggest considering 30-minute lessons if theyâre for your child, or you have an intermediate level and only want conversation practice.
We want students to have an exceptional learning experience on LanguaTalk, so we only accept the very best tutor applications. Though we consider qualifications and experience, we place equal value on communication skills, personality and reviews from previous students. Almost all tutors are native speakers of the language they teach, and we require that they can speak English too.
Each tutor is different - they have different backgrounds, strengths, teaching methods and personalities. So we suggest you browse several profiles to find the right Spanish tutor for you.
The beauty of taking lessons online is that you can learn anytime, anywhere. To see tutors who are likely to fit your weekly schedule, use the availability filter at the top. Then when you see a tutor you like, check their profile calendar to make sure their time slots work for you. Some tutors have limited availability as they already have lots of students.
Our booking system is designed to be incredibly easy to use. You can see tutors' available hours in your local time zone. If you choose to book lessons with a tutor, you'll be able to purchase them one at a time, or buy in bulk with a volume discount. You can pay securely by card on our website.
You can manually add bookings to your personal calendar, or if you use Google calendar, you can add bookings automatically with our syncing feature. You'll also be able to receive email reminders to help ensure you don't forget to turn up.
You can reschedule or cancel lessons in a couple of clicks. Note that this can only be done up to 24 hours before the lesson time. This rule is required to protect tutors, who lose income when lessons are cancelled at the last minute.
Sometimes students feel uncertain about learning Spanish online because they think itâll be totally different to learning face-to-face. But usually when they try it, they find that the experience is almost the same and they often build a strong relationship with their tutor.
Once you start a video call with your chosen Spanish tutor online, youâll be able to communicate with them as if you were in the same room. Theyâll usually also share learning resources with you (using Google Docs, YouTube etc.) and youâll be able to collaborate in real-time.
According to the Foreign Service Institute, if you already speak English, Spanish is one of the easiest languages to learn. The exact amount of time it will take you to become fluent will depend on many factors, such as your current level, your knowledge of similar languages, your capacity to learn, how you study, and how intensively you study. Some will be able to go from beginner to conversational fluency within a couple of months through intensive study. Others will take longer. Combining 1-on-1 lessons with an online Spanish tutor with regular self-study is an effective way to learn Spanish fast.
If you live in the US or Europe, face-to-face Spanish lessons may cost anywhere between $15 and $40 (USD) per hour. Online tutoring tends to be cheaper than face-to-face because the tutor doesn't need to travel to you. An online Spanish tutor could cost anywhere from $7 to $30 per hour, but be aware that very cheap tutors may lack experience. On LanguaTalk, Spanish tutors typically charge between $10 and $25 per hour.
Of course, learning 1-on-1 with an experienced Spanish tutor is not the cheapest way to learn; you could learn via a free app instead. But if you're serious about learning, nothing beats 1-on-1 Spanish lessons with a great teacher.
There is no 'best way' to learn a language - it depends on your needs, level and budget. If you can't afford to take lessons, you can use a free app such as Duolingo to build your vocabulary. And to improve your listening skills, you can watch TV and listen to podcasts in Spanish. But to learn how to actually speak a language, you need to talk to a native speaker on a regular basis and receive accurate feedback so that you improve. If you want to make fast progress, it's best to take 1-on-1 lessons that are tailored to your needs by an experienced online Spanish teacher.
