First, we will get to know each other so that I know what kind of learner you are, what you like, what your goals are and then I will design the perfect lesson plan for you. You need to learn German for school, study, work or to pass exams? No problem, I can help you. My main goal is that you can use the language, in everyday life, the language must be alive and from the first lesson, I can assure you, you will start to communicate in German.

I have been teaching this wonderful language for 11 years and I am certified by the “Goethe Institut”. I love languages and music. I think that learning makes us grow and be better people. We learn something everyday and that keeps us alive.

The most important is to have fun and feel comfortable in the lesson, in the first lesson we going to get to know each other and then set your goals, personalize the classes to your needs and learning rhythm. 

It doesn't matter if you just started or already got the basics, if you want to improve your conversation skills or you need help with a special topic. My goal is that you get to understand the German language and will be able to speak it properly in everyday life.

I have been teaching German online for all ages, from beginner to advanced, for 2 1/2 years now.

Are you looking for someone to simply talk to and practice German? My teaching style is engaging, patient and creative. I am practiced in teaching children (10 and older), teenagers and adults. I have lived in the United States for 7 years. Therefore, I am experienced with different language environments and the challenges of studying another language.

My focus lies mainly on conversation. I help you to form sentences and to learn new words from all kinds of interesting topics. In so doing, I help you to become confident in German. Having fun while learning a new language is one important pillar to my experience. I give my best to create an atmosphere that helps you to engage in conversations with me and with others. Occasionally I use individually prepared worksheets as a support for our conversations.

I generally focus on the individual needs of my students. Be it preparing for a job interview, getting ready to live in a German speaking country, or learning German just for fun, I adjust my lessons to whatever you need so that you are able to speak, to read and to write in German. I am also happy to figure it out together in case you need help with the right approach.

Hi! I am Larissa, I am originally from Frankfurt, Germany. Since 2019, I've been teaching German as a foreign language via video chat and in face-to-face sessions. My students come from all over the world, from various age groups and have different skill levels. Depending on your skill level and requirements, we might start at the very beginning, dig into some grammar, do listening, reading and/or conversational exercises. I can also help you with different exam preparations or getting you ready to travel/move to a German speaking country. I like to work with free online sources, but am also happy to work with any material that my students bring to class. It is important to me to create a friendly and judge free atmosphere for my students where they feel comfortable just speaking and asking questions.

I am very passionate about traveling, exploring other countries and learning languages. Teaching is a great way for me to meet people from all over the world and learning about their cultures as well. Currently I am located in Costa Rica and learning Spanish. 
 

Depending on your level in German, we come up with topics to talk about in order to practice your conversation skills: travel, politics, the cities we live in, art, culture, the news, your job, your dreams and goals - anything :) It doesn't matter if you're fluent or not, I will adjust to your level (B1 and up) so that you don't feel overwhelmed. Language learning should be fun! 

Corrections and suggestions will be provided in the chat box. (this is not a grammar class though so explanations will be kept brief to focus on the conversation and improving fluency.

Given my background as a Communications Director at a global company I'm also happy to include business topics if that's of interest to you. (as well Mock Interview Sessions are possible)

My classes are NOT for absolute beginners. As it is a conversation class, you must be able to hold at least a basic conversation.

I offer both general German language course and specific classes of grammar, conversation, writing, test preparation and interview preparation. My focus is on intermediate and advanced German learners, who need a higher level of accuracy and fluency in terms of exposition, argumentation and self-expression.

I have been teaching German online since 2016. Before that, I taught at one of the leading language schools in Berlin for over six years. I hold a Magister (German equivalent to the master's degree) in German history and literature from Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin (2001) and a certificate of teaching German as a foreign language from Goethe-Institut, Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München (2010). Before becoming a language teacher, I was a journalist for six years at a local newspaper in Potsdam.

Language lessons can be fun, but language-learning is certainly time-consuming and occasionally frustrating. I am therefore aiming at establishing collaborative relationships with you to keep both of us motivated and inspired all through the journey.
