Hello my name is Maria, I’m from Germany and currently I live in Bolivia.
I myself was raised multilingual and I live in a foreign country. So, I know how hard and sometimes even frustrating it can be to learn a language. That’s why I would like to help you. If you are a beginner its best to start with some structure. So, vocabulary, grammar and the structure of a sentence in general. If you are already advanced, we can concentrate on pronunciation and conversation. Of course, always in connection with listening, reading and writing.
I already helped some students to prepare for their Goethe and Telc Test in the Levels A1 to C1.

My goal is to equip my students with tools and also to inspire them with my enthusiasm for the German language & culture. My teaching method is to focus on the 4 skills : listening , speaking, reading and writing . Those 4 skills will be covered in every lesson except the student is requesting to focus only on the conversational part etc. I'm flexible and can accomodate to every students needs. Are you looking for someone to simply talk to and practice German? My teaching style is engaging, patient and creative. I am practiced in teaching teenagers (16 and older) and adults. I have lived in the United States for 7 years. Therefore, I am experienced with different language environments and the challenges of studying another language.
My focus lies mainly on conversation. I help you to form sentences and to learn new words from all kinds of interesting topics. In so doing, I help you to become confident in German. Having fun while learning a new language is one important pillar to my experience. I give my best to create an atmosphere that helps you to engage in conversations with me and with others. Occasionally I use individually prepared worksheets as a support for our conversations.
I generally focus on the individual needs of my students. Be it preparing for a job interview, getting ready to live in a German speaking country, or learning German just for fun, I adjust my lessons to whatever you need so that you are able to speak, to read and to write in German. I am also happy to figure it out together in case you need help with the right approach.
So, in case I made you a little curious … Why do you not book a trial lesson with me and give it a try?

I have 8 years experience of language teaching, as a selfemployed private teacher for one-on-one classes. My classes are well structured, according to your needs. We work with science based teaching material that helps you to develop your German skills in a progressive way. We practice reading, writing, listening and of course speaking with a wide array of exercises. I consider grammar as an important part of language learning, but only to help you to develop your communicative abilities. I provide homework after each class to help you deepen and revise the new content.

I am happy you decided to learn German.
With me as your tutor, you will get the support and motivation you need to reach your goals and make the progress you are looking for. My classes are not only educational but fun. I firmly believe that language learning should be motivating to ensure students’ success.
Since earning my Master’s in Teaching German as a Foreign Language, I have been teaching my native language at universities and language schools in Germany and abroad for fifteen years.
My teaching approach is communicative, intercultural and learner-centered. Over the years I have developed my own material which I supplement with current course books, online material and authentic sources like German songs, TV programs/films and literature.
No matter if you are a beginner or an advanced learner, no matter what area you’d like to focus on, be it general German, business German or exam preparation, I am going to tailor the lessons to your individual needs in order to ensure the best possible outcome.
As a polyglot myself, I am familiar with the challenges of learning a new language and I can give you helpful tips along the way.
All you need to bring is the necessary motivation and dedication, and we’re ready to go.
Lass uns Deutsch lernen! (Let’s learn German!)
I hope to see you soon in a trial session.

I am a qualified native German teacher (PGCE) from a town near Dortmund and I have been teaching German as a foreign language for over 30 years in a Grammar school setting in Northern Ireland. I have experience in the following: -Â
My teaching is as varied as my students are. I often use the online version of the textbook recommended by the Goethe Institute "Berliner Platz" A1, A2 and B1 level. I adapt my learning style to suit individual needs should you prefer conversational German or a more grammar focused lesson. I make the lesson enjoyable by including up to date teaching materials and refer to websites that will give the learner an insight into German culture as well, whenever possible, play quizzes such as Kahoot.

I have taught all levels at our national university language lab and privately. Also, I prepare for international examinations: *Goethe A1-A2-B1-B2-C1-C2, *TELC, *DSH, *Occupation Medicine B2-C1, *Workplace/occupation A2-B1, *Children A1-A2.
These are communicative, state-of-the-art and highly efficient classes that comprehensively integrate the four learning abilities of listening and reading comprehension, oral and written expression, but without compromising on the required grammar. That's because I have all the suitable tools at our disposal. In addition to the class and workbooks, we use an interactive PDF-whiteboard. We have numerous audio and video tracks, as well as other very efficient interactive tools. Levels range from beginner to advanced, from A1 to C2.Â
My approach is systematic but flexible, fully adapting to the learning pace of each student, so that they feel comfortable. And of course, I also try to make the class enjoyable and entertaining without leaving the academic objectives aside. In this sense, I know that most of you will need an international diploma at some point, and the methods I use are also aimed at this objective, as well as preparing you for colloquial communication in a new cultural environment. Every language is also a new culture, a new world.
I am looking forward to meeting you and showing you this new world in German. See you soon at the trial lesson. Bye!

See Reviews From StudentsThere are several options for learning German in Eindhoven, whether you live in the city center or the suburbs. You can use an app or software program to learn basic vocabulary and grammar. You can also join group lessons with German tutors in Eindhoven if you prefer a social learning experience. Alternatively, you can take one-on-one lessons with a private tutor, which is more expensive but may be the most effective option if you have a good tutor. Learning online may make private tutors a more affordable choice. Prices vary based on the tutor, but are generally cheaper than in-person lessons in Eindhoven.
Some tutors on LanguaTalk may offer local lessons, but most only provide online lessons as it is more convenient and allows them to work from home. In addition, many tutors do not teach German in Eindhoven as they live elsewhere in the world. If you book a lesson with a tutor, you should assume that it will be online unless the tutor specifically states that they offer in-person lessons in Eindhoven.
Our research indicates that the average cost for private German lessons in Eindhoven is between $25-$35 per hour. Online tutors do not need to travel to you and often live in countries with a lower cost of living, so the hourly cost is generally lower.
If you prefer not to learn online with tutor, LanguaTalk may not be the right choice for you. Instead, you can search for tutor, we recommend giving online learning a try as it is often as good as in-person learning and allows you to access better tutors at a lower cost. You can also book a free trial session to see if it is right for you.
Sometimes students tell us that they're not sure about learning German online because they think it’ll be completely different to learning face-to-face. But usually when they try it, they find that the experience is almost the same and they often build a solid relationship with their tutor.
Once you start a video call with your chosen tutor, you’ll be able to communicate with them as if you were in the same room. The tutor will typically also share learning resources with you (newspaper articles, YouTube, etc.) and you’ll be able to collaborate in real-time using a tool like Google Docs or Dropbox Paper.
On LanguaTalk, you can find highly qualified tutors who offer personalized 1-on-1 German lessons based on your goals and learning style. Here's how it works:
1 - Search for a tutor who meets your needs by reviewing videos, ratings, prices, and availability.
2 - Schedule a trial lesson. Many tutors offer a 30-minute trial for free, while others offer a discounted price.
3 - Take your personalized lessons with your chosen tutor via video call. Or, you can try a different tutor if you prefer.
You don't need to enter any payment information to book a free trial session. Please only book a trial if you are interested in taking lessons. Prices vary by tutor, and you can use filters to find a tutor who fits your budget. You can pay for each lesson individually or purchase multiple lessons at a discounted rate (view a tutor's profile to see their pricing options).
We're confident you'll enjoy learning with LanguaTalk. We are trusted by students around the world because of our transparency. We ask students to rate each lesson, and we display these ratings on the tutor's profile.
99.8% of lesson ratings are 5 stars. This is because, unlike other platforms, we only accept the top 10% of tutor applications.
To see our full list of frequently asked questions or get assistance from our friendly team, click the 'Help' button in the bottom-right. You can also watch videos of students sharing their experiences with LanguaTalk below.
Lessons are conducted one-on-one, allowing you to receive personalized attention from your tutor. lessons are conducted via video call, and you can use any device with a stable internet connection and a webcam to join the lesson.
Your tutor will create a customized lesson plan based on your goals, learning style, and current level. During the lesson, you will have the opportunity to speak, listen, and interact with your tutor in real-time. Your tutor may also provide you with additional materials, such as audio recordings or written exercises, to help you practice and consolidate your learning.
Most students take 55-minute lessons. However, some tutors also offer the option of 30-minute lessons. If this is available, it will be noted on their profile (below their pricing and above the 'Buy Lessons' button).
In general, we recommend 55-minute lessons for most students. You may want to consider 30-minute lessons only if you have an intermediate level and only want conversation practice, or if the lesson is for a child.
The advantage of taking lessons online is that you can learn at any time and from any location. When you select a tutor, check their calendar to ensure that they have available slots that fit your schedule. Some tutors may have limited availability due to high demand from other students.
If you're new to LanguaTalk, we'll provide you with a credit for a free trial lesson. Many, but not all, tutors offer these for free. If they do not, the price will be reduced to 30 percent of their full lesson price, so you can still try a session at a minimal cost.
Trial lessons are 30 minutes long. They allow you to evaluate whether the tutor is a good fit for you and experience learning online. The tutor will assess your level and try to understand your needs and interests so they can customize any lessons you decide to take. You will be encouraged to speak in German as much as possible, but you can also speak in English if needed.
If, after your trial lesson, you don't feel that the tutor is right for you, you can schedule a trial lesson with another tutor for 30 percent of their full lesson price.
