Hello my name is Maria, I’m from Germany and currently I live in Bolivia.

I myself was raised multilingual and I live in a foreign country. So, I know how hard and sometimes even frustrating it can be to learn a language. That’s why I would like to help you. If you are a beginner its best to start with some structure. So, vocabulary, grammar and the structure of a sentence in general. If you are already advanced, we can concentrate on pronunciation and conversation. Of course, always in connection with listening, reading and writing.

I already helped some students to prepare for their Goethe and Telc Test in the Levels A1 to C1.

Then I'm the right teacher for you!  In my German lessons you will not only learn the correct pronunciation and grammar but also a lot of useful facts and details about the German culture and way of living. This will help you if you are already living in a German-speaking country or plan to move there. I can also help you with exam preparation, such as Goethe-Test, Telc, or TestDaF.

In our German lessons you will find a safe space to practice speaking, make mistakes, get feedback, and little by little get more confident. Together we will create a tailored program designed to practice the specific situations where you will need to use German. We will use role plays, audios, videos, and a lot of different materials in order to improve your speaking, reading, writing, and listening skills. Every student has a different learning pace and different needs and interests. In the trial lesson I will find out what your goals are and with that information I will be able to adapt my German lessons so that you will learn German and enjoy doing it! 

Since I have a Zoom Business account, you won't need to reconnect to the meeting during our  lessons (55 minutes).

Some facts about me: I was born in Spain and raised in Germany, so Spanish and German are my native languages, but I also speak English (C1 level), French (B2 level), and a little bit of Portuguese. Over the last 30 years I have taught languages (English, German, and Spanish) to children and adults of all ages and levels. I've helped several students to pass different language exams.

I’m a native German speaker and a passionate language teacher. I completed my Master’s in German as a Foreign Language at Philipps-Universität Marburg (Germany) and also hold a Bachelor’s degree in Music Education, Musicology, and German Language & Literature.

I’ve worked at various educational institutions and completed an advanced training program at the Goethe-Institut, where I currently train German teachers.

Hi, I'm Your new German teacher. Born and raised in Switzerland but now living in Peru. I'm an artist, graphic designer and much more. I speak fluent English, Spanish and good French. I love to teach online because it allows me both to get to know new people from all over the world but also to take good care of my family. I always try to improve my teaching methods and to help my students find the best materials for them to keep studying for themselves. Besides teaching grammar and vocabulary I also like to use videos, audio-recordings, and a virtual whiteboard. You'll not only learn the language but also some cultural aspects. Teaching Approach

There are many ways to teach a lesson. I'm a lover of a varied approach whenever applicable. I can honestly say that I will always do my very best to find suitable methods in order to facilitate comprehension and learning.

Over the course of a lesson, I might use audio files, videos, transcripts, books, worksheets or custom-tailored exercises that I feel are best suited for that particular student. Likewise, I will also train conversation - practical or otherwise.

I highly value being kind, patient, modest and encouraging. I always strive to create an environment that fosters a positive feeling. An inviting atmosphere is essential for learning anything at all. I welcome mistakes students make because it's normal to do so, plus that is one of the best ways to learn something properly.

My ultimate goal for you, as my student, is to enjoy yourself while learning and progressing!

Students are different, and all have their own individual needs and expectations. I see myself as someone who is guiding them along their chosen path. Occasionally prompting them to discover (the beauty of) a concept here and there they might have overlooked otherwise. Helping them to develop long-term strategies that will make them feel accomplished and self-assured.

Qualifications & Experience

I've studied at a German university. I've worked as a full time teacher in German trade schools for many years. I've easily taught more than 4,500 lessons over the years. I taught students from all walks of life, with their ages ranging from fifteen to forty-five years.

Teaching, in general, has always been something that I deeply admire. To be able to help others comprehend a concept, and to contribute to their learning progress, is a meaningful endeavour and deeply rewarding! I enjoy it more than I could ever adequately describe.

I am a patient and dedicated German tutor (check my reviews :) ) and I have worked with adults and children of all ages and German levels, so I have teaching material for every level and for exam preparation. Recently, I helped one of my students to pass the Goethe B2 exam. I started teaching languages 5 years ago and obtained a teaching certificate. I´ve been teaching German online for about 3 years. My mother tongues are German and Spanish, but I also speak English (C1 level) and a little bit of French.

Every student is unique, that´s why I prepare each lesson carefully, taking into account the needs, interests and learning goal of my students. The structure of the lesson also depends on the way of learning that works best for you. That´s what we are going to discuss in the trial lesson. You will also get an idea about how our lessons will be. And as I get to know more about your interests and hobbies, I can prepare lessons with topics that are interesting and practical for you. 

We will practice reading, listening, writing and speaking. Therefore, we will use videos, worksheets, online exercises, dialogues or role-plays. We will practice everyday German and the vocabulary that you personally need. I will also guide you patiently through the grammar topics. If you want, I will give you homework after the lesson.

Hi! I'm Tabea. I was born in Heidelberg (Germany) and I grew up in Spain, so I am bilingual in German and Spanish.

I started working as a German tutor in 2017, while I was still travelling a lot between Germany, Spain, Italy, Greece and the UK. I soon found out that I really enjoyed online teaching, since I had the chance to meet people from all over the world. I love learning things about other cultures and languages, as well as improving my teaching skills.

My lessons are quite flexible: I believe there is not only one method for learning a language. Students can be very different and even one person won't feel the same way every day. Therefore I take care to adapt each lesson to my students' needs. Do you feel you need a little help in conversation? Let's pick different topics and practise your speaking/listening abilities. My name is Beatrice, and I’m excited that you want to learn my native language, German, or Swiss German. 

For the last 11 years, I have taught German to colleagues and friends. In May 2022, I have started teaching German online and have helped several learners pass the Goethe-A2-Certificate, the Fidetest A2/B1 as well as the TELC-B1-Exam. I have an English, French and Spanish language certificate, and I have followed trainings for a German language teaching degree.  

It is important for me that you enjoy learning German, that I can help you in a well-understood and enjoyable way, and that you reach your goals. It is up to you what you wish to learn — if you need German for your profession, for traveling, or if you want to pass a Goethe or TELC language certificate. 

For many years, I lived in Germany, Switzerland and Spain. There, I worked in tourism as well as customer service in the front and back offices as an agent and team leader. Now I’m teaching online while traveling the world. My first destination is Spain, the Canary Island of Gran Canaria, and my second destination is the Island of Malta.

My hobbies are learning and teaching languages, traveling, reading, writing, yoga, hiking, swimming and dancing.
